2010 Election Forecast is UGLY -- Time to get progressive stuff DONE!!!
Conventional wisdom is that 2010 is going to be ugly for Democrats, but it’s possible that the conventional wisdom is seriously understating how bad the outlook is. It’s true that some factors, like the balance of open seats, are in the Democrats’ favor but the basic outlook is strongly tilting GOP.

I think the conventional thing to say is that this bolsters the case that Obama ought to tack to the center. I sort of see it the reverse way—there’ll be plenty of time for a mix of bipartisan policymaking and small-bore positioning once House Speaker John Boehner is the moderate and reasonable alternative to Majority Leader Cantor and Whip Pence. Time to get progressive stuff done while the window is still open.

5. I do not agree
As more guns flood our streets Americans will be clamoring for more rules and regulations. Personally I am for a total gun ban. I know that would be unpopular today. It will gain more supporters as time goes on and bodies pile up.

29. Very few Americans feel like you do.
And those who don't are extremely motivated voters. The 1994 Assault Weapons Ban was one of the major factors in that year turning into a rout for Democrats.

Following your advice would end the Democratic Party as a national entity.

14. We must change the way Americans think about guns
The gun culture here must be looked down on, not celebrated. Once we change the way people feel about owning firearms, the easier it will be for them to give them up.

30. The reason we're in trouble is...
because when we tossed out the Repubs in 2006 and 2008, and finally got a clear majority, we had our boot on the Republicans' throat, and we didn't stomp down hard enough.

We don't need to be more centrist and chickenshit, we need to get more bold, flip off the corporate lobbyists, pass health care, financial and jobs reform, and make no apologies.

Go bold or go home.

Is Don Caballero a mole?

If he isn't, judging by his posts, he must be Joe Stalin reincarnated.  He either plays, or actually is, the archetypical "I know what's best for you, and will kill you and your entire family if you get in my way" social-engineer-cum-Reign-of-Terror-despot.

Hey, where'd all our support go?

No doubt your $.25 donation and volunteering to post on Skin's island will mean a lot to the Dems.  :whatever:

And your support isn't going anywhere.  They can ignore you because they know you're going to vote for them anyway, you mind-numbed sheep.

Moley, moley, moley...
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Sight alignment-sight picture ..  squeeze  See , Gun control is easy!
You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.

Gun control means using both hands, and hitting what you aim at....

To quote Larry the Cable Guy:  "If guns kill people, then pencils cause misspelled words."

Besides, guns don't kill people, husbands who come home early do....

Murphy's 3rd Law:  "You can't make anything 'idiot DUmmie proof'.  The world will just create a better idiot DUmmie."

Liberals are like Slinkys.  Basically useless, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Global warming supporters believe that a few hundred million tons of CO2 has more control over our climate than a million mile in diameter, unshielded thermo-nuclear fusion reactor at the middle of the solar system.

And I've been told that in Texas that's perfectly alright as long as you get them both.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I've had guns for many years. Some of them have killed a few deer, but other than that, they've just been used to put holes in paper. They've NEVER been used to kill a human. That said, I AM prepared for when that eventuality comes, although I hope it never does.

That it was.  The name "Jose Serranto" comes to mind.  He's in NYC.
