3. In limited doses, Red Lobster can be ok

the biscuits they have are pretty good, but not a reason for dinner.

4. If you like ogling chicks in short shorts while eating chicken wings then Hooters is the place for you. If you like sea food and you don't live on one of the coasts, then you will probably like Red Lobster.

Wow, they really know how to rebel and stick it to the man.

I enjoy the cuisine at Hooters, but every time I order wings from there, they come with more grease than meat.  "Would you like a side of chicken with your grease?"

Red Lobster is a decent restaurant.  Their Chedder Bay biscuits really are delicious  :cheersmate:

Well I'm sorry let me rephrase it so its not so boring.

I do not like the taste, texture and bellyache of seafood. Once in a long while I may eat a tuna salad sandwich but thats as far as I go. I don't do shrimp or lobster or crayfish or anything like that. Tuna was better when it wasn't dolphin safe.

I think Red Lobster sucks (but I do like their cheddar bay biscuits).  Every single  time I have eaten there I get a stomach ache.  My Mom loves it so that is why I will go.  Usually on her birthday.

Do you have a "Wing Stop" where you live?  They are the best and their french fries are so yummy. I swear they have a little sugar on them (and trust me, it is good).

Wing Stop is good. One of my former bosses... way back when I worked in a grocery store... owns some of those

Hooters has better crab legs than Red Lobster.  And their fried pickles are pretty darn good.

There is a reason there are no Red Lobsters anywhere near where I live.  I will leave it to your fevered imaginations to figure out why.

That being said, they're okay if nothing else is available.  Given a choice, I'd rather eat at Joe's Crab Shack anyway.

I don't honestly know if I've ever been to a Red Lobster.  Maybe as a kid.  I've been to Hooters maybe 5 times ever.

I don't generally eat at chain restaurants unless they are a local chain.

Joe's Crab Shack is OK for lunch. In the evening, no way, the noise level is painful.

My son & his buddies spends an inordinate amount of time at Hooters...he says they like the wings. Yeah, and I like Chippendales for the cute little bow ties.

When I was interning as an auditor, we would be on the road on a team.  The leader of the team traditionally chose where we ate.  This one guy dragged us day after day, night after night to Ponderosa for lunch, and Red Lobster for dinner.  I, too, had a terrible stomachache.  In addition, I once had a boyfriend who was a manager at a Red Lobster, and he turned out to be a royal asshole.  So, I will not go to a RL ever again.

Red Lobster is hideous!  When it first opened, years ago, it was pretty much the only game in town for seafood where I lived.  At the time I thought it was okay especially on the all-u-can-eat crab legs nights.  Once I found out what actual seafood was supposed to taste like I never stepped inside a RL again.

If you have never had Long Island Bay Scallops, you've never had "seafood". Breaded and pan fried, it is MANA!

Swordfish, Mako, Dolphin (the fish) , Grouper are great. Bluefish less than 12 inches breaded and pan fried, MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. FRESH, that's fresh Cod makes very good Fish and Chips.

Oh, flat fish (flounder, fluke) are good anyway you make them.

Most shellfish, clams, oysters, crabs not that great. Monkfish....too too heavy. Sea Scallops, not much better than skate wing, and that's BAD. Sea Bass, large bluefisn and other mackeral types, TOO OILY! Tuna, well, tastes great, but makes me feel ill for a few days....and Squid........might as well eat rubber bands!

Rather have some nice freshwater Yellow Perch that I caught myself than the oily large seafish.

These primitive morons ever catch a fish themselves???????

Long John Silver doesn't count as seafood does it?

It barely counts as food at all.

Damn you people.  Here I am trying to save money and you're going to make me go out tonight to Windjammer's (local seafood) for some stuffed haddock or lobster.

The "Red Tide" killed off the Peconic Bay scallops back in the 70's, so I'm not sure if they even exist any more, or perhaps the bay scallops that you are getting are from somewhere else........

We used to go to the docks in Riverhead, LI and buy them right off the boat, and eat them raw on the way home.........

I'd much rather eat at Red Lobster and stay a thousand miles away from New England.
