Well, in answer to some of the complaints, maybe DU needs an entry port or filtering guard,
We could hypothetically type on a topic or issue, and some moderator assigns your post to a forum.

I am neither for or against it depending upon the intelligence of the DUers. I have always thought we were intelligent enought to understand the gist of what we were saying to each other.

But, the way things are going, who knows.

One useful purpose of this stupid thread by DUmmy Mikenumbers is to smoke out the only two DUmmies who do not lurk here.

As we all know, franksolich has the best interests of the primitives at heart, and this actually makes things more difficult for the primitives, when they post things in "General Discussion" instead of the appropriate sub-forums.

There should be no doubt why the primitives do this, posting mental health, automotive, sports, cooking and baking, editorial, diet, exercise, poverty, civil rights, drugs, conspiracy, deaf and hard of hearing, &c., &c., &c., issues in "General Discussion" rather than in forums where these issues belong.

Primitives want to be seen hanging around the cool, the hip, the trendy, the with-it, primitives, and have this idea "General Discussion" is where it's at.

Sometimes "General Discussion" gets so jammed with topics not "general," it seems my fellow alum Skins might as well do away with all the other forums, and just have "General Discussion" as the whole of Skins's island.

It's like ploughing through a sewer, looking at "General Discussion," trying to find the good pieces.

I've suggested in the past that Skins allow primitives to post only in certain forums, such as Pedro Picasso only in the conspiracy forum, or the subway cat only in the mental health forum, or Mrs. Alfred Packer only in the cooking and baking forum, so as to encourage use of the appropriate forums.

Skins is notorious for his unfulfilled obsession with, desire for, order and control, and I'm truly surprised he hasn't done this, tidying up Skins's island.

He needs them for his comfortable living (I say that not because I care but because it flies in the face of the group think he oversees) so he can`t drive them away.

After sleeping on this, I decided I rather like the mikey primitive's idea of having moderators on Skins's island place the campfires in their appropriate forums.

One assumes the moderators there know better than the primitives in general do.

This is an utterly altruistic opinion on my part; I do care for the welfare of the primitives, and this would make it easier for them.

Decent and civilized people have enough problems as it is, muddling through "General Discussion," trying to find topics of relevance among the muck, and so one can only imagine the dilemma this gives the primitives, with their lesser-developed cerebral capacities.

It would make life easier for the primitives.

I've also noticed that perhaps the moderators over there need to change the names of threads. Sometimes what the DUmmie OP puts as the title has nothing to do with the subject.

Very unlikely to happen. The vermin who run the DUmp lurk here enough to know that the spineless DUmmy Mikenumbers is making reference to a frequent complaint from franksolich. Skimmer surely loves franksolich's campaigns in support of DUmp donation drives, but probably doesn't want to appear to be catering to the coach. It would add fuel to the fires of speculation that coach and Skimmer are one another's mole.
