AllentownJake (1000+ posts) Thu Feb-18-10 11:26 PMResponse to Reply #9 13. I expect this story to go away in a few days The guy is not a clear villain like McVeigh and Nichols were and his manifesto has bits of truth in it that will resonate with a lot of people. It doesn't sound crazy, in context of the anger of the actions of all the controlling institutions in society over the past 3 years. That being said, this was a guy angry at the actions of the Austin branch of the IRS who went and got revenge on that branch. His suicide/homicide note spells out his reasoning for it, and also throws in some populist rhetoric to try to paint himself as more sympathetic because, he knows what he was about to do was morally wrong, he didn't care. His instability appears at this time to be caused with having to deal with the consequences of evading taxes, those consequences would make most people unstable.
Wonder if the government will be rewriting that domestic terrorist assessment manifesto?Cindie
Yeah, now they'll probably include private pilots and engineers, as well as gun-owners and veterans.
Anytime someone says "I don't condone his/her actions BUT......" they are a liberal.

I did not share this fact with my fellow forum members because he did not give me permission to do so and I did not ask. Our conversations were polite and Jake SEEMED as if he was not wholly unsympathetic to conservative principles. In that light I have tried mightily to give him the benefit of the doubt in regards to this post.I cannot find any excuse for this appalling equivocation.Jake, if you ever stop by again... BTW - the balance of the thread is a bunch of DUmbasses lamentiong the fact Stack played bass guitar.
Yep! We better confiscate all the planes!
