A Limit On Assets Accumulation?
 I personally believe there should be a limit on how much assets any American citizen should be permitted to own. blah blah blah.
How do you feel about imposing a $20,000,000 limit on any individual citizen's accumulation of assets?

1. As long as the excess that is confiscated by the government
 doesn't go the the Defense budget and instead goes to Social Services and infrastructure, it's fine. It's not like I'll ever be affected by such a hypothetical.

12. That's the principle behind the progressive tax structure.  
 I'm in favor of going back to the 90% tax for the highest income brackets although, unfortunately, much of it went to war back then. In some countries their constitutions have human rights written into them, like the right to health care, shelter, living wages, etc.. It forces their governments to deliver on those things. I am also for wealth taxes. Wealth taxes forces uber riche people to spread their wealth among their heirs and charitable foundations, making sure the fortune is broken up into smaller parcels so that there would be very few billionaires left in the system spreading the wealth around a larger group.

34. That's exactly right...
 On the other hand, wealthy people already deal with this problem, in the form of property taxes. If you want to keep a lot of non-liquid net worth around, then you can have a job and earn enough to pay the taxes.

Isn't that what the rich are always telling us? Get A Job.

22. This is an indirect banking regulation. It is one way that we could limit their influence
 Then we could make community banks exempt from the cap and effectively eliminate private banks. I want to see bankers starving out on the street so I can berate them for being lazy and not working hard enough.

A rational production system where things are produced to meet people's needs and not to generate profits would go a long way towards lessening our load.

As per population, capitalism begets poverty for the majority and poverty begets higher replacement rate.

Hey DUmbass.  Wanna tell that to some of my renters?  They have good homes because I provide them good homes.  Some of my renters pay as little as $400/month.  Nice homes in a nice neighborhood.  That isn't good for the community?  Come take them .... I dare ya.

WOW, that statement is one screaming wad of pure D damn stupid.  

Now granted the DUmmies $2.87 savings account is there waiting for him to come withdraw it the next time he has the munchies for some Cheetos. If he thinks the days deposit from his local Walmart is sitting there in the vault waiting on them to come by to spend it then someone is in for a rude awakening.

Hey DUmmies, Millionaires are NOT like Scrooge McDuck. They don't go down to the basement and pry open a vault and swim naked in the cash. The money goes out and does things, mainly make more money for the owner. Idle money doesn't do anything for anyone.

DUmmy anonymousnumbers is either explaining a democrat's understanding of the banking system, or he's a mole stirring the pot. Democrats actually believe that when you deposit money at a bank, they just stack it up inside a vault, and it stays there until you withdraw it. And regardless what they do with it, the democrat party philosophy is that the government should take it. I have a hunch he's a mole.

The only cap like that I know of is at the bottom.  There is a cap to how much you can make before you start paying taxes. Maybe the DUmmie wants the poor to start paying their share?

My BIL lives with his girlfriend who has a child. She got back $5k (my BIL told my husband this) in EIC. My BIL got back money too. These idiots spent their "windfall" on a flat screen TV and a trip to Vegas. My BIL owes his parents well over $10k (for legal bills from his divorce) and his girlfriend owes a lot in CC bills. Although they aren't political, they have the same mentality as DU. I bet they already are back to never having money and hocking items to pay the rent.  Both of them are gainfully employed yet perpetually late paying bills yet always seem to have money to buy hard liquor and cigarettes.

It pisses me off that we are paying for this kind of shit.  When you have 50% of Americans not paying anything in taxes, it's a wonder that anyone other then a liberal gets elected.
