Skidmore (1000+ posts) Tue Feb-16-10 08:59 AM I'm less likely to consider buying a Volkswagen now because I am pretty disgusted with that advertisement they have on where the salesman punches the baby in the arm. What were they thinking? And we are, of necessity, in the market for a new car.

What a fag. This ain't child abuse. Hell, it's a punch buggy. Kids loved doing that.
I thought it was a slug bug????
For some unknown reason, lost to the fog of getting old, we also called the Beetle, a beaver.
That's terrible! And what about that Michelin tire commercial, with all the run-over, dying cartoon animals strewn all over the road? It's disturbing and cruel. Were those animals making scale, anyway?
I've decided not to buy a Subaru because in their commercials they let animals drive without seat belts. In one they even bump another car. Animals could get hurt if they don't wear a seat belt and making them crash is just animal abuse. I'm very sensitive to this kind of thing because when I was a little girl one of my cats got hit by a car.Cindie
