Murtha's widow urged to run for husband's seat
« on: February 15, 2010, 04:16:35 PM »
Quote
Joyce Murtha for Congress?

The Pennsylvania papers are reporting that the widow of Rep. John Murtha is being urged to run in the May special election to fill the remainder of her husband's term. The 77-year-old Democrat died a week ago of complications from gall bladder surgery.

Murtha spokesman Matthew Mazonkey told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "While people have been mindful that this is a difficult time for the family, many have called to suggest Joyce as the perfect person to hold her husband's seat."

One possible candidate, former state treasurer Barbara Hafer, said she would support Murtha's widow.

"She would be a tremendous choice," Hafer told the Tribune-Review. "She is a wonderful woman, an excellent speaker. If that is what she wants to do, I would heartily concur."

That isn't a woman. That's Kim Jong Il in a dress and wig. :)  Typical of the DimRats, they prefer the name over any actual qualifications.  They know that she'll get a large sympathy vote.

I couldn't find a link in the OP, but I don't understand the "hold it" part . . . is he supposed to come back from the grave one day or something?

Her hair? Exactly what I was focusing on, teased to death and retro for sure. Then there's the fugly Mao jacket but with smallish-but-garish buttons. She should consider a boob belt as well, it could work for her.

I can understand a man not wanting his wife to change, but that's taking it a step too far.

Yeah, she does look like she just time traveled back from 1965.

This is just one example of a boob belt - very thick and sits high on the waist:

Michelle Obama has dozens of 'em.

Hi,

The BOOB BELT was worn by her husband.  It kept his pants from falling down.

Will she also accept her husband's indictment?
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

After being humiliated in Massachusetts, the liberals know they can't win fair and square anymore, so they are trying to get the sympathy vote for Murtha's seat.  I almost wonder if even that will work at this point.  I would laugh and laugh and laugh long and loud and clear if they tried it and it failed.

From other reading that I've done, it seems that Murtha's seat may be gone after the next census is complete, and redistricting is done.  That's close to a guarantee if a conservative wins the special election.

I know this is terribly catty but she has the worst taste in clothing I've seen in a public figure. It's just tacky. A 16 year old could pick out a classier wardrobe and Walmart.
