Don't lawyers cost money? Were'd that come from?

Cindie, From what I've been able to learn about this process it looks like the lawyers who do these cases are shooting for getting a piece of the 'lump sum' the 'disabled' person gets. Basically they work on a contingent fee basis. DAT may have more info on that.
As I posted in another thread I know a guy who just got on 100% disability. He supposedly got a $36,000 lump sum because he had been denied so long and once he was found to be 'disabled' WE had to pay him back for the 3 years WE denied him HIS money. Now ... he has a new boat and goes fishing every day it is nice and WE pay him $2,700/month .... he is less than 40 years old.
