It's an AP story, so nothing to bring over.  But apparently he had a stroke.  They flew him to Anchorage for surgery, but it didn't take.  It's a shame.  I really liked him.

That's to bad I really liked him. You could tell he loved those boys. Thoughts and prayers.
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

I saw this on Fox this morning -- poor guy was only 53.  Many prayers for his family.  All those captains/crews seem very close-knit so I imagine everyone is heartbroken.

His health was an issue for a while. He didn't quit chain smoking.

He was the best character on that show too.

As far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, well, more notable and important things I thought of as "breaking news" as far as I was concerned have been condemned to other forums.
