Admins and mods, I'd like to have the ability to refuse these hearts. Last year I laughed it off. This year I consider this harrassment.

Seriously, think about it, there would be no other reason for the makers of DU to create an "evil" heart unless it was in jest.

Again, the slightest variation in tone will set one of them off. A simple, "Good morning!", will have one of them losing their mind, or whatever they use in its place. It's constant squabbling over there. Though if only they squabbled more with each other, they'd do less damage to the rest of us.

 ...when calling someone an "Evil DUer" was considered a good thing. This was back when Bush liked to make frequent reference to "Evil Doers" -- so we changed one letter and made it our own. "Evil DUer" was basically the same as "DUer."

That is the spirit in which that particular Valentine heart was provided. The DU Admins would not deliberately provide a rude heart option for this promotion. I'm a little taken aback that some people seem to think that was our intent, but alas I am not surprised.

Having said that, I think it is apparent that some people probably are using it as an insult. Which just goes to show that some people will do anything to try to hurt others. How pathetic and sad.

So I guess this is the end of an era. We're not Evil DUers anymore. When Elad gets online later today, we're going to change that heart so it says something else.

Now I'm locking this thread.
 
Interesting that he caves in to the whiners here, but when they whine about "unrec" he tells them to piss up a rope.

The really pathetic thing, besides this dummie's thread, is the number of threads dummies start squealing over hearts given to them. Skinner knows his target cashcows. They're entranced by shiny things and pretend status. Throw out a few bright pixels and they fork over the cash.   :lmao:
