First up is an article posted by The Old Sow. It is a Washington Post article about liberal condescension. We've all seen it, with dump-monkeys thinking their every idea is superior and "evolved" compared to us.

Every political community includes some members who insist that their side has all the answers and that their adversaries are idiots. But American liberals, to a degree far surpassing conservatives, appear committed to the proposition that their views are correct, self-evident, and based on fact and reason, while conservative positions are not just wrong but illegitimate, ideological and unworthy of serious consideration. Indeed, all the appeals to bipartisanship notwithstanding, President Obama and other leading liberal voices have joined in a chorus of intellectual condescension.

It's an odd time for liberals to feel smug. But even with Democratic fortunes on the wane, leading liberals insist that they have almost nothing to learn from conservatives. Many Democrats describe their troubles simply as a PR challenge, a combination of conservative misinformation -- as when Obama charges that critics of health-care reform are peddling fake fears of a "Bolshevik plot" -- and the country's failure to grasp great liberal accomplishments. "We were so busy just getting stuff done . . . that I think we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are," the president told ABC's George Stephanopoulos in a recent interview. The benighted public is either uncomprehending or deliberately misinformed (by conservatives).

Here's the cliff notes version: They hate us because we are condescending. (A common right wing meme these days.) Too bad they NEVER look at themselves and try to understand just why liberals belittle their lunacy. Sigh.

What do the past 100 or so years show about liberalism/Socialism/Communism.  The Soviet Union collapsed, but communism killed millions before that happened.  The majority of the Chinese are horribly poor, despite over fifty years of communism.  North Korea can't feed itself. With all these sterling examples, do you think the DUmmies might concede that Communism, ie "Progressive Politics" doesn't work?

Legitimate question; or at least they TRY to be condescending.  They turn out to just make themselves appear more stupid, even though it's difficult for them to sink any lower.

But of all the people on the planet that have the right to be condescending, liberals are the last in line.  Acting in a condescending manner without a single reason to ever be viewed as anything other than useless has only made them more and more angry, lashing out at anyone who would dare to disagree with them, much less oppose them.  It's why their only usefulness is as comedy relief.  Ergo, this forum.
