Everyone's gone and the kitchen is all cleaned up!
I made baked pasta.....filled a big turkey roasting pan to the top (one of those big dark blue things with the white speckles). Penne, 4 lbs of meat -2 each of Italian sausage and ground chuck, 'shrooms, sauce, 2 pints of ricotta, shredded parmesan, onions, garlic, and about a pound of mozzarella.
Also did salad and garlic toast.
Runnin' Buddy did shrimp with remoulade sauce and parmesan artichoke dip.
It ended up being just M and I, Runnin' Buddy and J, my son, their son, his roommate, and two of the kids' married friends.
Let me tell you how those kids can eat!!!! I ended up giving both of the married couples tupperware containers of pasta, and the boys took one back to MTSU with them. I only have 1 container left !!!
One of the married guys has been best buds with my son for 17 years! I've only seen him once or twice when T's been home, in the last 7 years. It was kind of funny...all 5 boys kept asking what they could do to help...even emptying the trash a couple of times and rinsing the dishes.....the two wives didn't even ask if they could do anything.
Only bad thing that happened was I emptied two bags of crackers into a basket...and laid the plastic bags on the counter.....on top of two votive candles. I caught them as they were starting to flame up. Melting plastic does not do well on thumb. I have a wicked blister on my left thumb.

At least it didn't go under my thumbnail....or wreck my new manicure.
