W0oTaGe Friday!
« on: February 05, 2010, 07:34:26 AM »
7 hours to the weekend, and start of vacation.  Feel like crap, but will hang on.  Pretty light workload for a change.  Cold--high for the next few days in the upper 20's, lows around 10.  Looking forward to the "warmth" of LV on Sunday, at a whopping 60.

Possibly going to Wisconsin next month.  Will know more when I get back from vacation.

Snowing heavily here, but no wind and temperature circa 30 degrees.

Just snow.

leaving work early today -- snow to start sometime in the late afternoon and last through Sat. night.  We don't get anything near what you get, Frank, but the predicted 2 feet of snow through VA, MD, DE and southern NJ will make getting out anytime this weekend a nightmare!  Oh well, no where really pressing to go this weekend so we'll just bring up a bunch of bags of pellets for the stove from the basement and hang tight! Hopefully, the high winds won't knock out the power -- now that would really suck!  :banghead:

I'm getting the same storm that njpines is getting...supposed to start late morning.  Right now I"m trying to figure out if Mr Flame get to leave work early, or if he has to stay all the way through until 930.  They are calling for nearly impossible travel conditions after dark, so if he has to stay, I won't be happy.  He works for the Feds, and all the feds in DC get to leave early, but he supposed to follow the local gov't closures, and I can't find out about them!

Hoping it doesn't get so bad we lose power.  That would suck.

Yup--but fortunately, it looks like the snow won't even make it as far as Boston.

I'm under that nice dark green patch on the west coast, plenty of rain forecast for the next couple of days.  I bought some seedlings last week for my garden, but they didn't get planted, so I'm hoping for a break and some sunshine for at least a couple of hours this weekend.

I'm going out with some friends to celebrate a friends birthday tonight.   :cheersmate: (actually, half my friends don't drink, so there probably won't be any beer).

VA has already declared a state of emergency -- hopefully, W. VA will do it as well soon.  If so, that should help make the decision easy for your local gov't offices.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all down there!

Sparky, good to see it isn't going up to Boston.  I thought about your trip this morning, and how much suckage it would be if it hit up there.

Mid-Atlantic-ers~  Here is hoping you have a warm and toasty uneventful weekend inside.

CR~  Good luck on your planting.

Me?  No rain today.  Or tomorrow.  I think we will start Sunday evening again, so I am going to take that window of opportunity to do some stuff outdoors.  If it isn't too muddy.  It's probably too muddy.

It's raining here too.  I don't want it to rain this weekend.  We just started working on our yard last weekend.  I really wanted to get it finished this weekend.  Well, we wouldn't be able to get it totally finished this weekend but enough that it would look nice.  It actually doesn't look too bad but I wanted to plant flowers and such.  My husband also has to take out a cement pedestal (I don't know what it is called) that an ugly bronze statue sat on.  It isn't going to be easy because it is quite large.  A neighbor has some special diamond blade used to cut cement so he was going to use it.  I want it GONE.

It's raining and raining and raining some more......maybe turning to snow.....

Am on the Grievance Committee again this year for the Board of Realty.....we act similar to a Grand Jury for the Ethics and Arbitration committees. Had 3 complaints to review this morning. Some people are just so damn dumb ....when it comes to money....do they really think they can get away with it and the one who gets screwed over is just going to sit back and accept it? I don't think so!!!!!

M delivered my trays of goodies this morning. She called and was quite happy, and wants me to do another thing for her towards the end of March.

Leaving in a few minutes to drive about 30 miles to show a house. Former client.

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Yikes.  Take care, Kimberly & everyone else in the area.

We've already had 43 inches this year (not including the 2 and counting from today), which is quite a lot.

Thanks. The snowblower is ready and I made the obligatory trip to the grocery store. They were out of milk at 10:30 this morning. Insane! And it's only snowed about inch so far.  :o

You're down by DC, I think? Good luck to you. My daughter is at UMD in College Park and I'm worried about her. Hopefully she went to the store like i suggested, because everything going to be closed down all weekend.

We are supposed to get 4 inches or so over night.  The wind is howling out of the north right now and the snow feels more like blowing sand.
