Brown to get Kennedy's office space

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN) -- After Scott Brown gets sworn in Thursday afternoon, he won't just be taking Ted Kennedy's Senate seat, he will also be taking over his plush office space in the Senate Russell building.

Several Senate sources tell CNN that the Senate Rules Committee, which assigns office space, decided to give Brown Kennedy's old digs as a matter of convenience.

An aide to Senate Rules Chairman Chuck Schumer says because Brown is coming in "midstream" it would be too hard to start moving senators around.

Brown was elected to finish Kennedy's term... he's up for re-election in 2012.
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

I hope Ted's ghost comes back and makes Brown's life living hell.

Ole fat Ted's ghost isn't coming back. Mary Jo has seen to that.

21. Did you complain when Kirk occupied the space?
Edited on Thu Feb-04-10 02:18 PM by Tarc
Would you be complaining now if Martha Coakley were moving into the office?

Apply me to answer "no" and "no" for you.

This is by far the most ridiculous ****ing thing I have seen people here bitch about. It is petty to the extreme.

Why the heck not, so through all these years Ted expanded his office and made it livable for a Kennedy.

Sounds like Brown won the lottery.   What you want to put him in the basement.?

Brown inherited that office regardless of the condition it is in.

Is there nothing people will complain about?     BTW My Mon finally got through connections, the Magazine with brown posing nude.   She says he is a hunk.   Good going Mon at 87 I hope to be able to be like You---love yah.

13. I hope it isnt true--I am callling the Senate. That office is NOT Brown's.
NO!!!!!!!!!!

DUmmie coffeenap fancies himself some sort of senate insider.  Coffeenap has been in that office!  He's obviously somebody very important.  I am sure they will make sure the error is fixed straightaway.  Harry Reid knows that what coffeenap says goes.

6. Disgusting! So laziness trumps tradition! What the hell is wrong with us??

The Senate has traditions that mean a lot--symbols can mean more than most anything there--I don't get this decision. I have been in that office--it is NOT an office for a temp! WTF!!!

They still call it Kennedy's seat, might as well as use his office too.
You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.
