Yes we have freepers in this part of the world too.

Some freepers just came to my door, saying the earthquakes and floods are God's work because
he is angry with the world. I just told them i was busy, I should of gone DU on their butts.

I was having trouble copying & pasting with this browser for some reason, but meant to add in that "Brettdale" is in New Zealand.  I didn't know there were any Freepers there. :-)

No Sh*t, there I was...

...I was waiting for housing to open up at Fortress Riley and was living in a three room apartment in the Jay-C. Every Saturday morning, just as I got out of the Shower, the knock came at my door. I'd open, dressed in a towel, to two JW women. The two comprised of one (mid-60s) and the other (twenties).

This happened not once, but several times over the months. Every time...me standing there dripping wet, and these two embarassed and fleeing...

I once had a secretary who was a Jehovah's Witness. Kind of goofy around holidays and United Way drive time, but otherwise a very nice girl and an excellent secretary. I'd have to ask someone else to put up Christmas decorations, and I'd put in a few bucks to UW in her name so we could claim 100% participation. They just have a real weird cultish side to them.

I used to get JW's coming around...but that pretty much stopped when I sprayed chicken blood on the front porch around a chalk outline and a few scattered copies of the Watchtower.

Well.....a number of years ago, I had a JW working for me......he was also handicapped (with Muscular Dystrophy), which comes with a lingering terminal prognisis......

He was one of the best employees that I had at the time......totally dependable, never late, completely honest, worked hard, always upbeat, and never complained.  He and I got into several discussions about religion (his and mine), and when it all came out in the wash, our beliefs were not all that different relatively speaking, with the exception of the holiday things......

Hope that he is still around........

Heh.  A former roommate of mine did the same dang thing.  I was happy for it.  The Kingdom Hall was less than a mile away. 

My boss is a JW.  When she gets real drunk at an happy hour she tries to recruit.  No lie.

     My son came home one day from work, he had found one of the JW pamphlets at work and out of curiosity read it. He brought the pamphlet to me to read.

This was a few years ago on the anniversary of when the pamphlet was first published in I believe 1938.   It had drawings of the German consructions camps and gas chambers that were in construction.

This pamphlet must have reached millions of door steps but no one bothered to read it.   Crazy Cult they called the JW, humans would not do such a thing they thought. 

The JW have and had a world wide org. looking out for threats to their faith. They were right on the money but who will listen to the few preaching in the wilderness.

I welcome anyone from a religious org. into my home. Good well meaning people that are not going to steal my spoons.  In site into how others think and view life is important to me.

Heck I am open to anyones view on life, in my home if they come to call they are guests and I would never question their ideas, listen then try to mull over what they told me when they left.

Now if were the Phelps family I would do the same but never turn my back on them,  they are spooky, I would rather have a Voodoo man beating his bongo in the livingroom and chickens in the back yard loosing their heads.      Dinner time---fried chicken collard greens, yams and mashed potatoes with gravy and Okra on the side

JW's used to come bother my parents next door neighbor all the time when I was a kid...until she finally had eough and told them she was Catholic (which was true).  According to my mom they practically ran from the house.
