Well, duh, if the hard-over AGW freaks were right in their hypothesis this would kind of go without saying. Assuming they were correct (without taking sides) it would be obvious that the climate is like a hundred-car freight train or a supertanker, i.e. once you get it moving in one direction it does not stop moving just because you stop pushing it. It seems fairly obvious that it would take the near-cessation of human CO2 generating activity over several decades to have any perceptible effect on it...which is totally unacceptable and isn't going to happen. This is what I meant when I said "If they are right, the process is already irreversible, so it'd just have to be dealt with" - IF it even comes to pass.
