I was thinking more of an "official" party and in a much larger mass of sitting senators/reps.

Fortunately or unfortunately (however you choose to look at it), the US has, since its founding been a two-party system of government, warts and all, with minor exceptions.......

The political realities of the mechanics of this is what makes "Libertarianism" so ridiculous, in my opinion........it is far easier to alter the direction of an existing party, than it is to start one from scratch.......if one wanted to do that, it would require beginning at the local level, and working up gradually, with successes in your pocket.

Short of a massive shift to a parliamentary system, which I don't ever see happening here, I don't think that it will occur.

Thing is, neighbor, that the Obamessiah's ego won't let him move to the center.  Remember, they know what "our best interests" are.  So, they will tell us exactly what "our best interests" are--and that we should vote for them, because of that.

Hi,

There were two gals on O'Reilly the other night and they were discussion Obama and Clinton.  When Clinton got himself in this pickle he moved to the center because the only concern he had was getting elected.  The last comment that the other gal made before they went for commerical was Obama is a true believer and cannot do that.....meaning of course we have elected Jeramiah Wright and he is indeed going to reallocate the wealth one way or another.

Right now Obama's true belief's are conflicting with America's and a lot of democrats have figured it out.  Best thing the democrats can do is take Obama and Pelosi down on the birth certificate issue.  Pelosi certified it and she knew it was phony so they could both go very easily.

What I hope they do...is listen to the advice of the MSM and ram this healthcare crap through like Scott Brown was never elected.

Neil Cavuto just said that Sen. Dick Durbin is trying to eliminate the fillibuster in the Senate.  If he does this, it will come back and bite him in the ass--soon.  Like as in 2011.

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

From your lips.....

We were having the discussion here last night...that if Obama continued on the path that he's on, and it continues to jeopardize the Congress-critters seats....will they find a way to get him out of office.

The birth certificate would be the easiest way.... :uhsure:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

The best we can hope for is the Repubs to take over the House and gain 6 or 7 seats in the Senate. As much as I want Obummer ousted, impeachment would turn every large city in the US into a rioting debacle.

If you do not live in a big city, no problem. Just let blacks burn the sucker down along with looting that will take place. The chaos that ensues will drive the market down 1,500 points. It will not affect you if you are not invested in the market.

I think I'd be willing to take the hit just to be rid of a portion of the pond scum that resides there........and I am invested in the market.

The upside would be that the evenutal recovery costs would be much less with the elimination of a portion of the "entitlement class"......

I'm an evil bastard, I know that......

Is he going to take responsibility for the last year?

Other possibly than a pro forma and completely insincere nod to the famous Truman quote, that would be the very last thing I would expect to hear from him.

If the police shot all the looters (pond scum) that might work. I doubt that would happen and they would move into your neighborhood. I don't think that would please you; it did not please me when all those beauties moved from N.O. to Baton Rouge after Katrina. The poplulation doubled overnight. Traffic was a nightmare. Sitting at each traffic light for 10 minutes or more was no fun. For many months, a 2 mile drive would take an hour or two.

You would shoot them even if they were not shooting or trying to rob you. :mental: That was the case here cause we had the city police, sheriff, state police and out of state troopers patrolling the downtown area with orders to shoot looters.

Tresspassing is taken quite seriously here.......there would be appropriate warnings of course, but anyone (assuming a large group of people who obviously don't belong in the area) encroaching on private property in anything deemed by the property owner as threatening, could be met with lethal force........legally......

Here, you can shoot at them if they are on your property....but it's better if they are in your house. Then you can shoot them dead....legally.

The government relocated many of the Katrina beauties to TX. Next will be the Haitians. If the government decides to relocate them in your area there is nothing you can do about it except move.

In Louisiana, you can not shoot someone for trespassing and I bet that is a slippery slope in any state. If they break into your house or car while you are inside, you can kill them. Killing a trespasser who was not threatening you would in all likelihood would get you charged with a crime plus a lawsuit.

You will notice that I included the phrase "perceived as threatening" in my post.......here we call it the "Castle Doctrine".......and BTW, the same statute immunizes the homeowner/landowner from lawsuits from survivors.......

I would doubt that the government would risk relocating Hatians here to a very "red" area.........it would be far easier for them to send them to one of the pansy "blue" areas, where no body would complain, or have the means to defend themselves.........

More enlightened and inclusine, you know........

Louisiana has the Castle Doctrine also. Police officers have told me that you can not shoot an unarmed person that is trespassing. Perceived as threathing is a slippery slope in this case. You have to wait till they get inside your home or car to shoot them. So, I would like to see the Castle Doctrine law in your state.

We had a famous case where a Japanese exchange student was shot and killed. He was trick/treating with a friend. Knocked on the door and scared the shit out of the man's wife. The man went outside; it was dark and he claimed that the teenager did not stop when told to do so. So he shot him. He was not indicted but the family sued him.

If I remember correctly, Louisiana's laws are still (to some extent) based on "Napoleonic Code", which would make their interpretation somewhat different than the rest of the states........

I think that this original sub-discussion centered around massive riots in cities, and the ensuing breakdown of law enforcement as a result........under those circumstances, all bets are off, and the time for discussion of all of the legal niceties is far past......

You can sit there with your book of statutes, and let the riffraff overrun your neighborhood if you choose to do so, but here, if they do overrun neighborhoods, they will likely have to crawl through a mountain of spent brass to do so.......this discussion began with a hypothetical....there are some elements of society that have been begging for a "Darwin Award" for far too long.  I hope that I live long enough to hand a few out......

And we've wandered way off topic.....

I don't recall him saying he would use  a gun.
