Check in if you've had a bad week - San Diego.

- I live in San Diego, my roof is leaking, it's raining like crazy and landlord says can't fix it while it is raining.
- My unemployment check is going to be 1/2 of what it could have been because I screwed up my application time frame.
- WTF Massachusetts?
- WTF Chargers - lost on Sunday to my ex home town team.
- Dog pee'd on my daughters bed last night, probably wigged out because of weird weather.
- WTF Massachusetts?
- WTF - SCOTUS?

But half way through writing this, I thought about Haiti.

Yeah, I've had a bad week. But I have not had a horrible, lose a loved one, lose my house kind of week.

I kind of feel bad for whining

But one more time...

WTF Massachusetts?

1. Sounds like yours is worse than mine, but...

my boss told me that my job performance was really lacking and that he doesn't think I'm taking this assignment seriously enough. Not good.

8. He's partially right.

I've been applying for grad schools, taking a separate class, looking for an engagement ring then on top of that in the span of a week my uncle committed suicide and my grandfather died of lung complications.

I just need to focus for a while, and probably get off of DU.

Good idea.

2. I've had a terrible 3 1/2 years...

But nothing like Haiti except that I did lose my mother to lung cancer.

I lost my Mom more than 25 years ago and the pain gets duller but it never goes away.

Good fortune in the future to you.

6. I thank you for your thoughts...

It's been tough. I lost my mom; my marriage; my job; and my mind. I keep hoping that things get better. Good fortunes to you, too.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

As has been noted here so many times...why does a group that almost unanimously claim to be mentally ill think that their political beliefs make any sense? :banghead:

Their claims of mental illness are due to the universal dream of all democrats: to qualify for SSI disability payments. They really believe themselves to have intellects vastly superior to those of normal people.

I hate to say this.....but the original poster has a point.

I was talking with a friend the other night....we both have had some serious issues going on for the last few months....but when we put our problems in perspective with what's going on in Haiti....

We decided that while our problems were important....they will get worked out in time.

But most importantly... we had our health, our children were healthy and all have a more than just "decent" roof over our heads.

We are pretty damn fortunate.

Thanks be to God.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Best week evah!!!!!!!!!!!

1. SENATOR Scott Brown
2. UN IPCC admits that they have been lying about AGW.
3. Hell-Care dead (but look out for Zomby Hell-Care).
4. SCOTUS Actually votes on the side of the Constitution.
5. My put options are in the money, thanks Obama on your war against the banks!

It's been great.

Not the greatest week. Socialists still have huge majorities in both houses of congress. The Supreme Court is still only one appointment away from a carbon copy of Venezuela. We still have a muslim socialist from Kenya, educated in an Indonesian madrassa, squatting in the White House. We still have at least three years of socialist appointments to federal courts all over the country. We still have at least three years of socialists writing regulations in the myriad of federal agencies that really make the laws. We still have the executive and legislative branches of our government committed to warfare against American business and American traditions. So, it maybe could be worse, but it's not a great week.

Not bad but interesting GOBUCKS.      2 days at the Hospital for the darnedest tests. You know it has been 20 years since I worked in the medical field.    WOW I don't recognise anything today.

While we are healthy and have our 3 squares a day,  life is moving on.   The longer we have no problems the faster technology zooms on without our knowledge.

When out of the blue one needs health care then is the time we can see how much our ignorance of technology has happend.

Interesting, the NUKE medical procedures are perhaps a first time experience for some.  Then those strange machines that one is put into that move about our body's taking pictures and make one feel they are under the controll of Alians.

It is most interesting that I totally forget the worlds problems when they put me in some kind of chamber with shunts in both arms.

My question is WHO the Heck invented these machines, who were the people that developed all those amazing machines.  We kind of stand in awe of the drugs being developed, but when one walks into a room with weird machinery, who invented this, how did anyone or group of people ever come come up with these diagnostic machines.  I wonder how much these things cost.

This is SI-FI come to life, one lays down and a machine moves up and down the body, no such thing 10 years ago.

Interesting week, kind of amazing for the state of Medicine, but I am sure there is even more to come.

BTW, Because of the Mass. election the Governor of my state changed his plans, he was to visit a company that was doing so well they expanded and hired 30 more people.     He at last minute canceled as this Brown thing has caused everyone in politics to to back up and and reevaluate their policy's.

Oh I had an OKAY week I guess.

I started writing this: http://libertyfic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ongoingstory&action=display&thread=170

Oh man, your writing has so many big words in it.  How do you expect the DUmmies to read that?  I skimmed through it and will finish reading it in full later but one thing got my attention - Gilbert, Arizona. That's where my dad lived and I know all of those roads.  He had one of those nice houses on tiny lots with a pool stuffed in the backyard.

I found it on Google Maps, lol. Makes the story more realistic when you can mention actual details of a place.

I don't really run there much.

If any of y'all wanna throw it out there be my guest.

I want to start a thread I'll add to as time goes on. Alas, it will probably be relegated to SB.
