What part of the Olympics are you looking forward to? I like the Winter Olympics because the sports are more intersting. I love both opening and closing ceremonies. My fav sport is the ice skating and the snowboarding. Someday, I plan on learning to snowboard, it is always something I wanted to do.

I've always enjoyed ski-jumping, mostly because of the ABC Wide World of Sports thing of years ago when they showed a guy who sorta slipped off the ski jump about 3/4 of the way down.

He didn't look so good bouncing around like he did.

I prefer the Summer Olympics, especially Judo, when what little recorded is ever aired.  I do like watching the ski jump, as Eupher does and for the same reason. The downhill skiing can be quite entertaining, too.

Ice hockey.  Never could play the sport a lick, chiefly because I can't skate to save my life.  Love watching it.

Yup, he was a Yugoslavian dude I think.  Ended up with only a mild concussion from that.  I saw an interview with him many years later.  I loved WWOS.  Jim McKay and those yellow jackets.

I like watching skiing of any kind.  Jumping and racing.  And the biathalon is cool too.

Hoping that it doesn't come down to a US-Canada gold medal round. Not sure who I'd root for.

If the coverage is the same as the last few...........................................................it's gonna suck.

The coverage won't be as bad as Torino or Nagano.  I didn't think the SLC coverage was bad at all.

Yeah, it was nice considering that Mitt Romney had just breezed into town to "save" the Olympics from the two guys who were pilloried for doing what any other local Olympic committee does - provide "gifts" to the International Olympic Committee in "consideration" for the terrific decision the IOC made in granting the Games to SLC.

Romney is a schmuck. But I guess you knew that.

I did, but I'm saying the coverage here won't be bad because at least this Winter Games won't be tape delayed by 14 hours or some silly shit like that.

And as much as Formerlurker loves Romney, I can't stand the smarmy SOB.  Never trust a man who combs his hair with olive oil and a fork.

See, now I'm gonna have to dig up my copy of Slap Shot, just so I can find the line where Paul Newman says, "You better get re-married again, or he's gonna have someone's cock in his mouth before you can say Jack Robinson."
