Just thread titles- nothing more
« on: January 19, 2010, 10:13:05 PM »
Cheer up!

Eat your vomit, America. The Repukes return to power.

Unforgivable.

One last thought before I smash things and yell a lot...

I (do not) hate to say "I told you so"

I spent much of the evening looking at my passport

"I can't remember the last time I felt such overwhelming rage... toward the Republican Party"

This place looks like it did after Kerry lost in 2004

The ******* Teabaggers, the Media, Rush and Boehner, et al are all Laughing their asses off!

I'm going to have a MONUMENTAL pity-party tonight ...

Sorry Teddy. That's about all I can say....

Those Democrats who voted for Brown just spit all over Ted Kennedy's grave! (let me add this):pisscontest:

THANKS MASSHOLES!

A teabagger TOOK Teddy's seat

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm still pissed that zero in in the oval office, but this makes it a little less painful.

And for the thread of the night:

Health Care Comes To Screeching Halt - Sen. Webb-D: No HCR Votes Until Brown Seated

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

My personal favorite.  Little Goons and their little goon-ilk cannot abide folks laughing at them.  And EVERYBODY is laughing at them and at that twisted sour Mallomar "president" they pretend to be so proud of.

Not possible. There's no room for them until some of us finish pissing on it.

Jukin is smiling.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Ted does live on to serve.  I understand they stuck the feeder line for JFK's Eternal Flame into Ted's corpse.

That's a sour spot for me that the bloviated ass is buried in Arlington.

Same here. I always swore that one day I'd piss on his grave. Now, I can't and of course, wouldn't.

There are two Arlington National Cemeteries occupying those same acres.  One is the sacred ground we all respect and hold dear.  The other is a political theater of the dead staged for the living.  You just have to separate them in your heart.

Remember when Bill Clinton was selling burial plots in Arlington like a political Elmer Gantry?  Disgusting.

I believe Fat Ted really did serve a minimum draftee hitch in the Army 'way back when, not wartime service, but still honorable...of course it was a posh assignment, and undertaken solely to protect him from any claim of draft-dodging later as well as establish a minimum military record, back when all that still mattered to the Democrats.

As far as the nude posing goes, all I can say is that there is something strangely appropriate about a guy who would do that taking over Fat Ted's place.

Yes, he did serve honorably. I'll give him that. IIRC, though, he even screwed that up. His father had to bail him out and get him stationed in Germany instead of Vietnam. I'll see if I can't find that story.

Edit: Paris not Germany. Korea not Vietnam. Sorry.

Kennedy earned C grades at the private Milton Academy, but was admitted to Harvard as a "legacy" -- his father and older brothers had attended there, so the younger and dimmer Kennedy's admission was virtually assured. While attending, he was expelled twice, once for cheating on a test, and once for paying a classmate to cheat for him. While expelled, Kennedy enlisted in the Army, but mistakenly signed up for four years instead of two. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, former U.S. Ambassador to England, pulled the necessary strings to have his enlistment shortened to two years, and to ensure that he served in Europe, not Korea, where a war was raging. Kennedy was assigned to Paris, never advanced beyond the rank of Private, and returned to Harvard upon being discharged.

In all fairness FGL, I believe when he posed semi-nude for Cosmo, he was a struggling college student. I know of many young women, who I have respect for, that did far worse than that in order to put some cash in their pocket while attending classes.

Yeah, he used that money for law school.  It was certainly a long time ago.  I don't really have a problem with it.
