How did bush govern like a king with at most a 1-2 Senator majority?
I hope we win the Senate race today, but i'm perplexed that bush the idiot could govern like a king with a one to two senator majority (at most), while we're running scared with a majority of 18 Senators. Are we truly that disorganized and ineffective?

... and bush did this while there was tremendous evidence that both election 'victories' were manufactured (stolen)

... and bush turned his utter incompetance in allowing 911 to happen under his watch (recall the repugs ignored all warnings of the impending attack that Richard Clark kept trying to tell them about) into a repug strength in protecting America.

wtf?

Hmmm....one wonders, oh yes... oh yes indeed...

It's because the American people don't want what they are selling and the Dems know it.  If they thought everyone wanted their crap they would pass it and enjoy the fact that no Republicans were on board.  They would have passed it last year.  They don't want to "go it alone" because they are afraid of the people, as they should be.   It's not just health care either, Cap and Trade is also a no go too.  Yet they have stepped over the line already and they know it but didn't care.  Now they are afraid because the people are reacting.  Pay attention, sheesh.

Attention is the one thing Democrats cannot pay, because they cannot steal it (i.e., tax it) from other people.

It's because the American people don't want what they are selling

I thought it was going to be free and we had no choice in the matter. :-)
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

It was actually because Bush wasn't trying to do crazy shit, hard over to one extreme, and however misguided at times, pursued an essentially bipartisan agenda.  Oh yes, he almost never uttered a bad word about Bill Clinton or his 'Legacy.'  Osamabama, Dingy Harry, and San Fran Nan learned nothing from that statesmanlike approach, of course.

They can scratch themselves for years to come, when they will still be trying to figure out this "myth", and they call Bush the "idiot".
