!!!!! NEW RULE !!!!!

Whenever you post a poll showing a Democrat losing in the polls to a Republican, you are required to also post a link to someplace you can donate or volunteer to help the Democratic candidate win.

I'll agree to be the first person to submit to this rule.

(R) Brown 52% (D) Coakley 43% - Insider Advantage / Politico

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

Oh, no!

What can we DO!?!?!

Make at least five calls from your own home for Martha Coakley, RIGHT NOW:

http://www.my.barackobama.com/coakleyn2n

Donate to Martha Coakley for U.S. Senate RIGHT NOW:

(Yes, I know I have no right to make up rules and such. It's a rhetorical device / hook / homage to Bill Maher).

3. Since I started googling it six years ago...

... there has not been ANY Republican who is more Liberal than even the MOST CONSERVATIVE Democrat.

That includes Snowe, Collins and that guy from Rhode Island whose name escapes me.

Let me say that again, rephrased slightly.

The MOST LIBERAL Republican is still MORE CONSERVATIVE than the LEAST LIBERAL Democrat.

4. But that totally ignores 3rd parties.

I know we aren't supposed to mention that they exist around here, but when the Dem's decide to put a total ass-hat up for election in an area I'm in, I'm not afraid to go 3rd party. That hasn't happened too much for me, but every now and then I know it's worked in other parts of the country.

10. There's Richard Carroll...

...who's a state rep in Arkansas, but I think he's the only one for the Greens that are at the state level.

Mind you, I wasn't making a particular statement on this one particular election in general, but rather a more general statement.

6. Just don't do it when there's this much at stake, and the differences are so stark.

Hmmm.

The skumbag primitive must be worried that Joe Kennedy's going to make the difference between a Coakley win and a Coakley loss.

8. There are many times I would be willing to make a protest vote or a 3rd party vote.

But not now in MA. Too much at stake for the whole country

7. I just made the first two calls of the day

One hung up. The second was an elderly gentleman who said the political call he has been receiving have been overwhelming. All hours and he is FED UP with it. He will go vote tomorrow but he is SICK of the calls.

Now I am hesitant to call the rest on my list.

ARGH!

11. I got one call like that.

You make sure you sound concerned and sympathetic, and then reassure him that no matter what, the calls will stop after tomorrow.

Make sure you point out how close the race is, and how we need to make sure we get everyone out to vote.

Especially since some people don't know there's an election tomorrow:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

and Scott Brown supporters are jamming the phone banks:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

and trying to convince Democrats that the election is a day LATER: (I'll get that link to you in a bit)

12. Jamming phone banks and and other dirty tricks....

Typical repugs. Gee, in the old days people went to jail for that. It's called conspiracy to commit election fraud.

The DU AdBot primitive's promoting Domino's pizzas.

One wonders if there's some subliminal meaning in that.

I believe that Democrats in the SE are more conservative the Republicans in the NE. But the Republicans in the SE rock.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Democrats in the Southeast vote with democrats from California and New York about 98% of the time. They are socialists like every other democrat. They are why Pelosi is the speaker. They are why democrats control every committee in congress. They are why the jug-eared Kenyan will get communists confirmed to the Supreme Court, and in scores of federal courts. They are why the muslim will get some kind of socialized medicine bill passed and signed. They are why he will get his card check bill and unionize every business in the country. They are why he will get his cap and trade and double the cost of electricity. Blue dog, red dog, or green dog, no matter what color the dog, a democrat is a democrat and is an enemy of the American way of life.
