In thread, introduced by a copy-and-paste from poor, stupid Beth Ferrari, the DUmmies discuss who's at fault for the mess in Haiti. You will not be surprised by the first suspect:

“Bush Was Responsible for Destroying Haitian Democracyâ€â€“Randall Robinson
Randall Robinson on Obama Tapping Bush to Co-Chair US Relief Efforts
We speak with TransAfrica founder Randall Robinson, author of An Unbroken Agony: Haiti, from Revolution to the Kidnapping of a President. On President Obama tapping former President Bill Clinton and former President George W Bush to co-chair US relief efforts in Haiti, Robinson says, “Bush was responsible for destroying Haitian democracy…Clinton has largely sponsored a program of economic development that supports the idea of sweatshops… but that is not what we should focus on now. We should focus on saving lives.â€

2. It is customary to ask former presidents to help in these situations.
It would be hard to find a former president that hasn't contributed to the destruction of Haiti in some way. Maybe someday Obama can be one.
Doug's poor stupid ex-wife Beth may be stuck out there in the California desert, jammed into a camper with two big dogs, her senile mother, and her hostile brother, but she still has a finely tuned sense of Latin American history:

6. Jimmy Carter went to Haiti to campaign against Aristide in 1990.
In December 1990, Carter traveled to Haiti, where he labored to undercut Jean-Bertrand Aristide during the final days of the presidential race. According to a top Aristide aide, Carter predicted that Aristide would lose, and urged him to concede defeat. (He ended up winning 67 percent of the vote.)
Poor stupid Beth will even diss Jimmuh, if that's what it takes to support a Latin American communist. Poor stupid Beth LOVES Latin American communists.
Remember, at the DUmp, "democratically elected" means "communist":

11. Thank you for posting this.
I was so surprised to see people support the idea of a Bush involvement in Haiti. Excellent article.
I think it's a bad sign that Bush has been officially asked to help raise funds for Haiti. I think that means that there is no hope of getting the global capitalists out of Haiti's business.
Obama could change the policies regarding Haiti. He could take a bold stand to support a Democratically elected president and let Haiti decide its own fate.
If it weren't for those damn global capitalists, Haiti would be sort of like a black, hot, humid Canada.

12. Seeing Clinton and Bush heading this up is definitely business as usual.
My heart hurts to think this is the "help" Haiti will get and I know you know exactly what I mean.
You know, if I were stuck in a little camping trailer out there in the California desert, among the creosote bushes, tumbleweeds, scorpions, and rattlesnakes, I would be more concerned with getting out of that camping trailer than with Haitian politics. But that's just me. Poor stupid Beth is a citizen of the world, and a resident of the Airstream.
