« on: March 08, 2008, 03:10:19 PM »
I know we've all done this a time or two, but I thought it would be interested to see where all the CC members stand.

http://www.politicalcompass.org/

I got:
Economic Left/Right: -1.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.77

(I didn't know where to post this, so I put it here, but mods feel free to move it)

Oh geezuz.

The last time I took this, a little less than a year ago when the greedy primitive posted it on Skins's island, I was smack in the center, but one line further down, from this instance.

You are getting more authoritarian in your old age.

I'm at the top of the Authoritarian list so far.   :)

I'm kinda surprised that more of us aren't further to the right and down toward libertarian.

Yeah, I am too.

Then again, those questions basically made you pick sides.   There are some issues I am neutral on, so I think that skewed me towards being more authoritarian.  :mental:

I'm kinda surprised that more of us aren't further to the right and down toward libertarian.

Some of the questions were loaded to provide a certain bent but to answer honestly didn`t necessarily mean that was the only reason.

"the only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit to its shareholders."

I wouldn`t exactly agree to that statement because defining social responsibility is complex.
To a lib it means give aways or happily complying with punitive taxation.
To me it means providing a solid, stable economic base to a community which the lib definition would stifle.
So we both would disagree but for opposite reasons yet the charted result will be slanted to the lib mindset.
