Taunting Thursday (the weekend cometh)
« on: January 14, 2010, 11:20:25 AM »
Getting things ready for the VFW meeting tonight. Going over the accounts, making reports, paying bills, etc. Will have to go in later on today to do some deposits and get the recently flooded building ready for the meeting.

Have already done 2 reports and have 3 more to do and a comparative analysis to do on my foreclosure -

the sun's out, weather is warming up....going to rain all weekend but that will wash away all the stuff on the roads that are making a mess out of the cars.....and it's going to be in the mid-50's....yippeeeee - it's a heat wave!!! :yahoo:

Nothing planned today.  I'm sitting around with my leg propped up and knitting.  I plan to go through some papers shortly, I figure that is something that doesn't require any actual mobility.

Above freezing here too.  Thinking about uncovering my plants, and MAYBE packing up the Christmas Ornaments.  I have my tree down, the ornaments are just in a bowl.

*sigh* now my daughter says she has to pee all the time and sometimes she has pain in her pelvis area (she didn't say pelvis, she just pointed to the area).  She said her teacher is getting irritated  with her because she has to go to the bathroom all the time.  I called the doctors office earlier and was put on hold for 10 minutes.  I hung up and I'm on hold AGAIN.  I swear I am so sick of seeing doctors I could scream.

Oh they just answered and I have an appointment at noon for her.

We get there and she can't pee in the dang cup.  So I make her drink dixie cup after dixie cup of water and we wait.  She informs me that she went about 10 minutes before I showed up at school to take her to the doctor.  She did end up going in the cup.  We saw the nurse practitioner instead of the doctor because the doctor had no available appointments.  She said she had a little blood in her urine (even though it looked normal to the naked eye) and it would take a couple days to get the final results back from the urine test.  She went ahead and prescribed antibiotics and will call monday and let me know the results.  If she doesn't have an infection she will just stop the antibiotics.

I kind of hope that she has a bladder/UTI infection because I don't want to have to look deeper to figure out why she is having to pee all the time all of a sudden.  She has enough freaky things wrong with her at the moment.  Also her teacher is getting irritated with her for constantly having to ask her to go to the bathroom all the time.

A couple of days to determine if she has a bladder/kidney infection?!  :o

They should be able to put a couple drops of urine on a slide and look under a microscope and know if she has an infection!!!

It may very well be a UTI, and given the age of your daughter, that danged teacher should be a bit more understanding.  Everything is messed up when you are that age.

Just Dang.

BEG, you shuld get a note from the Dr that says your daughter is allowed to get up to use the restroom whenever she needs to, no need to ask for permission.  And if the teacher has a problem with that, then you need to complain to the principal.

I agree, deb.  I've had UTIs before (luckily not for many years now), and the dr. was able to diagnose the problem during the visit.

And, yes, cranberry juice (the 100% pure kind) really does help!

Yes...the cranberry juice does help.

Thankfully I have only had one bladder/kidney infection - knock on wood - about 15 years ago and it went from a maybe bladder infection to kidney infection with a high fever in just a couple of hours. Never knew something could hurt like that did!

I always grab either cranberry juice or cran-something to drink while travelling. Supposedly, there's a link between travelling and having to wait too long to get to the restroom...and bladder/kidney infections. I detest public restrooms and by drinking cranberry juice....I can't avoid them.

I had a severe bladder/ kidney infection some 2½ years ago. It took THREE shots of Rocephin to get me back to normal. Rocephin costs $1000/ dose. Doctor said I was a couple of days away from going into the light. My ex just left me lay in bed, with fevers and chills, without regard  to the fact that I just MIGHT be suffering from some post surgical infection. MY daughter finally took me to the clinic because I was too weak to drive myself.
