poll: why do you watch the primitives on Skins's island?
« on: January 13, 2010, 06:16:15 PM »
Why do you watch the primitives on Skins's island?

By the way, this poll allows for two options to be chosen, not just one.

This issue arises occasionally, whenever a primitive on Skins's island suddenly discovers decent and civilized people are looking at him, and the primitive gets all upset and paranoid and bent out of shape.

Never mind that Skins's island is meant to be a forum viewed by not only the primitives, but the general public.

If one doesn't watch the primitives, then no point in responding to this poll.

Prior to the opening of the DUmp, I actually bought into the cliche that liberals were loving, forgiving flower children who just happened to be wrong on the issues.  Call me Na'vi but that was the image in my mind.

Oppositional research and amusement.

I don`t think the primitives in reality are a pimple on an elephants ass as far as political importance but they do represent the base of the dem party and say out loud what those more sophisticated whisper to each other.

The amusement thing speaks for itself.

Hmmm. I've only recently started checking out the DU thread. At first I wasn't sure why anyone else would either. But then I realized that I lived in S.F. for years so other people may not be as jaded about the libs as I am. (They really do sound like that in real life.)

Then I decided that the reason the DU forum was here was so people could have some way of working off their frustrations without raggin' on each other.

I have however, recently discovered Peter Dow. I may have to have abdominal surgery as a result of laughing so much. I think he should have his own board.

So it's strictly entertainment for me.

I would like to see a sticky that explains all the DU terms though. If you're a newcomer here, it's really confusing to follow what's all going on and who's who.

Damn...I voted before reading Frank's post.

I'm the one who put all of the above... :banghead:

I don't read it for the news obviously....but their "take" on the news is kind of humorous in a sick way.

It's also a great anthropological example of underdeveloped mentality.... :evillaugh:

What she said.  Matter of fact, the DUmpster is the last thing I look at.  I know and am related to some of these people, figuratively, not literally...to the best of my knowledge.  Reading about em makes me sad that there are more.

Pure morbid facination.  It's like being an eyewitness to a train wreck.  You know what's going to happen.  You know it's going to get hideous.  And yet you cannot look away.

Such is the observation of the primitives as they lock their pathetic, petty, wasted lives into the inevitable death spirals.

Amusement, definately.

Their ability to lie to themselves has always amazed me.  It would bother people with a conscience to lie like they do, but it doesn't even seem to phase them.  It's so natural to them they don't even know they're doing it.  Point out their lies and they immediately slither into defense mode as outlined to them and endorsed by the Dem party.  They do nothing, say nothing, and believe nothing that isn't sanctioned by their leaders.  It's like a glimpse into what the USSR was like.

The amount of seething hatred and anger they possess is off the scale.  And then as soon as they commit one or both of these immature offenses in a single post, they then turn around and hypocritically claim it's others, and not them, who are that way.  Calling it mental illness doesn't begin to touch the hem of the garment of just how deranged and emotionally disturbed they are.

I also get a kick out of people who view themselves as being intelligent when they're not even close.  Skin's island is ground zero for that.

I put "amusement" and op research, just as my neighbor did.  The phrase "Know thy enemy" sticks in my mind.  The thing is, the "mainstream" Democrat Party is becoming more and more like the DUmb****s every day.  So, then, with that in mind, it really is opposition research--or, as I'd like to point out, "scouting."

Like Carl and BSS, I put 'amusement' and 'op research' as well.  I also agree that the "mainstream Dem party" is becoming more and more like the freaks posting over there so reading it keeps me from becoming complacent. However, I am very appreciative of being able to look at it through the prism of all of you posting in The Dumpster because reading that crap unfiltered makes me extremely depressed/angry over where those nutjobs want to take our country  :banghead:.

Pure amusement. I don't consider the primitives "opposition," so much as useful idiots for the Dems.

Mostly for amusement. Their anguish nourishes me.  I love when they DU a poll and it doesn't come out like they hoped it would, just thinking about the anger and hatred on their grubby faces brings a smile to my face. Also, a little anthropological interest about how ones brain is affected when allowed access to that many drugs or communist ideals for that long. For being the most intelligent beings on the planet, every one of them is batshit crazy.

all of the above. I gotta tell you though that the amusement factor has never been as high as it has been since zero got elected.

I didn't discover the DUmp until Rush mentioned it, probably around 2003. It must have been really hilarious in the early days after W's first inauguration. It was terrific fun election night 2004 and the next few weeks, during the Scamdal, during the Fitzmas celebration, and during TiTtyboy's heyday. There are more truly insane DUmmies now, maybe, but it's hard to beat the laughs of those earlier days.

Back then the coven was united against a common enemy. At the present, they're getting screwed by one of their own without a reach around. TSing is at an all time high. The mods have been given instructions on how to deal with obama criticizers. This is virgin ground that they're treading upon.

Again, the change that they voted for and the change that they got is priceless. They can't handle it. The daily meltdowns shows as much.

I mainly watch them to see if they react to each event as I predict they will and so far I haven't been wrong once.
