He reminded me of a 16 year old boy with googled eyes over the 18 year old upper class-men girl that hes in love with.
There is a lot of Beck that I like, then there is a lot of Beck that I dont like. My issues of what I do not like are less to do with Beck himself than how people see him. He is the equivalent to a town crier as any media personality should be but many out there follow him as some kind of cult leader or political leader.
As to Becks content, hes on target for the most part.
As to the whole 3rd party thing... there is no doubt it would divide the vote. Yet I will say that I personally will refuse to vote for someone that will not properly represent. I do see another party emerging in the years to come rather than just independent 3rd wheel runners. The core starts on our local level such as city, county and then the state level. From my perspective either people will realize this and actually get active and branch off or we will die under socialism. I am sorry but I do not see a reformation of either party that is currently in place. I hope I am proven wrong. Yet time and distance has proven me right too many times.
Hi,
Couple of things. I understand Beck mentioned on the air yesterday he has a terrible cold and needed four guests because he was afraid his voice would give out.
I followed Glenn Beck since the late 1990's when he was in Tampa. He was very vocal about Gore trying to steal the election here in Florida. He finally mentioned on the air that he wanted to have a "Rally for America" and over 10,000 people showed up in a Tampa park. In those days he would personally answer his emails and would interact with the crowd and public regularly. Now, for security reasons, he cannot do that and I have seen some posts on his insiders web site that it really bothers him.
My wife and I drove to Kansas City to see his show last summer. We waited outside the theatre. I just wanted to say greetings from Tampa and shake his hand. There were maybe a dozen people waiting there. Then two black Chevy SUV's with dark tinted windows show up. Last time I saw vehicles like that was in DC in a hotel when some government bigwig was meeting with a foreign diplomat. Very intimidating. We talked to Stu while we were waiting, then the door opened and about 6-8 very large men with suits on, and bulging pockets came out surrounding Glenn. The two in front threw out their arms saying make way, make way. Hell there was only a dozen of us. My wife and I decided to just stay back and watch. One young lady had a copy of his first book and a pen in hand and it was obvious she wanted it signed.
As Glenn got to the door of the vehicle, he turned, pushed away a security guard, took the pen and signed the gal's book. Looked at us all with a forlorn look and said, "Sorry gang, we have to go." I felt sorry for him and posted that story on his insider forum. Some of the old timers told me after a performance like that he used to come out and sit on a step and interact with the crowd for normally an hour or so......not anymore.
I think he is still a young man and is pinching himself, and getting used to his new role in the national spotlight. Hell, I suspect most of us would be in absolute awe of Palin and I felt that Glenn was at first but then he calmed down as the interview progressed. My God that woman is a breath of fresh air.....

PS: Waited in line at a book signing in Orlando and got to shake his hand. He looked me in the eye and was very nice.
