President Obama Signs Executive Order Establishing Council of Governors

Executive Order will Strengthen Further Partnership Between the Federal and State and Local Governments to Better Protect Our Nation

The President today signed an Executive Order (attached) establishing a Council of Governors to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State Governments to protect our Nation against all types of hazards.  When appointed, the Council will be reviewing such matters as involving the National Guard of the various States; homeland defense; civil support; synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities.

It can serve some valuable purposes, as long as it isn't dominated by Democrats.  If that happened, it would be indistinguishable from a Mafia Don's war council with his Capos and Consiglieri.

A council of 10 governors out of 50, appointed by the President?

Same party or not they will all be from Blue states having governors with distict liberal leanings.

Refine it's scope?  That's pretty vague.  What's already in there is bad.

This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person."

He thinks this will keep it from being challenged? 

The quote about liberty dying to thunderous applause is sad, but it seems to fit.

Sounds like a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act which was passed to substantially limit the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement.

Actually, no... it doesn't matter. They don't care about violating COTUS, so why would they care about PC? They don't. Very few people in the country care about it or even know about it... so in the end, it doesn't matter.

I honestly believe the majority of them will be standing trial with him for treason.  You don't plunge this country into the kind of chaos that Lord Zero and his gang have been driving us to without consequences.
