WTF?!?! No Tuesday thread today?
« on: January 12, 2010, 12:26:11 PM »
Had a hard time getting to sleep last night.  Work for me starts at 0600, which means I'm out of the rack at 0430.  Last night, I laid down at 2100, and the last time I remember poking my head up to check the clock on the dresser was about 2330.  Was awakened again at 0015 with horrendous muscle cramps, dealt with those, and then took another hour or so to get back to sleep.

Let's just say that 0430 was not welcome when the alarm went off this morning.

Sleep issues must have been going around....I fell asleep in my chair watching Fox with my laptop on my lap and woke up about an hour later....all it took to mess up my sleep pattern... :banghead:

We are still around 30 today....but we're getting a heat wave...by Friday we are to be in the mid-50's!!! :-)

My only issue, was that I allowed myself to stay up till 2300, a whole 30 minutes more than I normally do.  I woke up at the same time, but am out of sorts.  It really doesn't take much deviation from schedule to mess me up.

No Tuesday for you!

I fell asleep on my sofa yesterday afternoon and woke up at 9pm... stayed up until 4am reading and watching TV.  That happens every time I have a day off.  I'm sorting through my stuff and packing up things that don't get used.  I thought I had more empty boxes than I do.  Need to get ready to move when my lease is up in April.

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

Just woke up.  Hitting the shower, then hitting the road.  Nights are teh suck.  I could barely keep my eyes open driving home this morning, so I didn't even bother to try and fight it--hit the bed as soon as I got home, and with the exception of taking the dog out about 10:30, been sleeping up until 15 minutes ago.

Oh, and more "glo-bull" warming tonight...forecast temperature of 4 degrees.

busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.

That's a good thing.

temps are hovering around 18 for the low, about 28 for the high.

Was told yesterday that Belle, our golden retriever, has to go on a diet. She weighs 82 lbs. Holy shit, Batman! She doesn't look all that big, but apparently her bulk is impacting her uh, nether regions. Her vulva is getting swallowed up in her body.

I ain't making that up.   :o

So, we gotta cut back on the dog food. We never feed her table scraps, but she gets lots of things like apples. She's nuts for apples. And carrots. And broccoli. And kale stalks. Crazy dog eats damn near anything, but I've never seen a dog go crazy for veggies like this one does.

Considering getting a treadmill even though she gets plenty of exercise with our walk in the morning and her flailing around with Lexie, our other dog.

Going to be 19 here tonight....but to start warming up tomorrow.

Got two new reports to do today, and a foreclosure listing extended for another 30 days. Had to fight for the extension....they don't stay with one agent after 90 days...like it's my fault the damn thing isn't selling... :censored: Told them unless I got the extension, I wasn't going to do a market analysis for them and they could find someone else to list and babysit the property. Guess it sometimes pays to stick up for myself.  :-)

Did some laundry, played Blackjack on Pogo, and going to watch the NCIS's in a little bit.

Life continues.....

Won't work.  My dog is waisis.  He doesn't like people who are of a different color.  Been that way since he was born.  And, I don't know why as he was socialized with all colors of people, and disabilities, and sizes, and yet, he still goes all Mad Max when he sees people of any different color.  (which is also wierd because I thought dogs didn't see color, and it is also wierd, because I have very good friends that are of different colors, and he doesn't like them either, so it isn't some kind of subconscious vibe he is picking up off of me.)

So is mine (the one in my pic) -- what is it about "Australian" dogs (she's an Australian Shepherd)?

As for a race preference, she doesn't have that particular quirk but she is HIGHLY suspicious of men (my husband and son excluded)!

Eh!.....Why were you looking at your dogs vagina? :-)

That question was intended for me.

First of all, I don't look at the dog's vagina. I said vulva. There's a difference.

Secondly, she has a history of bladder infections which are caused (says the vet) by her scooting her hind end along on whatever surface that will ease her discomfort -- itching or whatever. Hence the "focus" on her nether regions.

She's had anal glands expressed (at the vet, not by me) and has otherwise been checked over pretty thoroughly. Prognosis is she's fat, which is partly the reason she does what she does. And apparently her nether regions are oddly small, for whatever genetic reason. Both issues have somehow combined to create a bit of a physical dimension problem.

Belle came home from the vet with a mandate to become less porky, and a mandate to be cleaned "down there" every other day.

That's Mrs. E's job. I ain't goin' near that stuff.

wow -- only had that problem once (so far) over the last nine years and by the time I gathered up some intestinal fortitude to do it, the dog had apparently taken care of it herself, outside, as I never found any evidence of it inside!  :puke:
