Here we are, with a nice view of the Horsehead Nebula off our port quarter - the cloak was running, of course.  :-)

lol. nice pic. You mentioned elsewhere you were a pilot, I meant your plane- if you have one. My airplane is about 4 inches and made by Mattel. heh.

As a working slob, most of my hours are logged in rentals.

I started out as a student pilot in this bird:


with the Boeing Employees Flying Club, back in '96 & '97.

Shortly after my family and I moved to Galt's Gulch, I joined Aspen Flying Club in Centennial.  This one:


has been one of my favorites.  It's fun for trips back to Arizona, as well as back east to visit family.

Nowadays, I'm designing and building a couple of my own.  First is a single place, enclosed cockpit ultralight, suitable for staying current without breaking the bank.  After that, is a 6-place turboprop for longer range family cruising, along the lines of this:



I'll post images of the models and the construction as they are available, but it'll be nice to have my own bird(s) for once.

The pic is a retractable gear verson of the Velocity XL.  It's a pretty good refinement on the lines of Rutan's Vari-eze.
