Sarah Palin to Contribute to Fox News
« on: January 11, 2010, 11:57:23 AM »
Quote
Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.

The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. ...

I'll only watch it for the articles.

Welp. So much for Palin 2012.

That's sort of what I figured, unless she wants to get out there for a year or so, so that people will realize she really is intelligent.

Fox has many "contributors".....Newt is one. Huckabee is a "commentator"...wonder if he's one that she will fill in for?

Ah. I thought I was the only one to have that knee jerk reaction.

I may be wrong, it could help her. I just don't think Fox is the venue for her. Overexposure and all that. Since I don't watch T.V. (due to my rampant heterosexuality) all I'll see is how the print media and the lefties will pick apart every word she says and generally vilify her. Which puts our side on the defensive having to correct every damned lie spread about her. I even have family members who think she's corrupt because of those phony and spurious allegations of "ethics violations". So I figure all my free time is going to filled up by patiently explaining to the knife and spoon crowd where Governor Palin stands on the substantive issues.

But yeah, she's still Hott.

On Edit: And Newt and the Huckster are gaywads and not Hott at all.

Sarah Palin takes Fox News commentator job
By RACHEL D'ORO, Associated Press Writer Rachel D'oro, Associated Press Writer

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, will return to her broadcast roots and take her conservative message to Fox News as a regular commentator, the cable channel announced Monday.

"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Palin said in a statement posted on the network's Web site. "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Fox said that according to the multiyear deal, Palin will offer political commentary and analysis on the cable channel, as well as Fox's Web site, radio network and business cable channel.

The network declined to say when Palin will start or how much she is being paid. Also unclear is how the arrangement will work, whether Palin will move to New York or commute from Alaska. Company representatives did not respond to calls seeking comment and Palin's spokeswoman, Meghan Stapleton, did not respond to e-mails seeking comment.

Welp. So much for Palin 2012.
After reading her book, I'm not so sure she wants to run in 2012.

She's supposed to be on Bill O'Reilly tomorrow night to discuss what she will be doing on Fox....

After reading her book, I'm not so sure she wants to run in 2012.

All the more reason to want her to...

She will run in 2012. I will campaign and support her financially. That will be a first for me because I believe in what she stands for.

Well, yeah. But I remember liking her because she was one of us. A normal person with a job and a family. If she does Fox, she'll be a celebrity. Yawn. One of them. Over polished and out of touch. How long before she ends up as irrelevant as Newt and Huckabee?

But if she starts doin' commercials for Tide, I'ma buyin' stock in Proctor Gamble.

Might be what she needs--a direct link to the public, rather than them just seeing a caricature on Saturday Night Live.

I don't think she has any interest in running in 2012. But I think she enjoys the speculation of it.
I will be looking forward to seeing her on fox, should be good fun watching her make Bill O'Reilly look more of a fool and dumbshit.

She may not want to run but I think she will be forced to. The Tea Party folks will insist on it.

I'm hoping the GOP smells the coffee before then and listens to the Tea Party people enough so that it moves toward them and prevents a fatal split in the Dems' opposition by then.

They're not listening YET!!! What makes you think that they'll wake up before then?? Hell, they still think that Michael Steele is the answer to their woes.  :whatever: The GOP are :loser:

I think she is going to do a amazing job and show the Libs and Rats that she is so much smarter than they thought she is

I think so too. She is going to upstage the Repub establishment backed by the Tea Party crowd; the RINO's and blue blood Repubs are just going to have to suck it up. Just like most conservatives held their nose and voted for McCain. After all, they are not going to vote for Obummer.

The last time I posted something along those lines, I got accused of being a Ronbot.

I would like to hear more from Jim DeMint and Joe Wilson over the next couple of years.......maybe one of them would make a good run.
