Back To The Grind Monday
« on: January 11, 2010, 09:23:02 AM »
...sort of.  Still at home, heading in for nights this week, 6 PM-6:30 AM until Fri/Sat, if all goes well, otherwise more OT on next paycheck.  Beer and eggs at Linda's after shift this week!

Waiting on W-2's now, basically done with my taxes and will e-file as soon as IRS accepts returns (Friday, 12:01 AM EST.)

Love not being able to sleep in, so tonight is going to kind of suck.

That sounds like a pretty crappy shift, and you get the added bonus of rush hour along with it.  JOY.

Compared to yours, my week is looking pretty sunshine and light.  The freezing temps are about over for a while, thankfully.
R.I.P. LC and Crockspot.  Miss you guys.

I only have two days to get things finished before my surgery, then I'll be out until next Monday.  I'm hoping to be really productive so that I can leave guilt free and not have to have my co-workers pick up the slack.  My boss is really great about the time I have to take off.  She absolutely nixed the idea of my taking a laptop home to work while I was recovering out of concern for me, so I feel like I have to make sure that my time in the office really counts.  I don't want to look like the weak link if things start going poorly again with our clients.

Rush hour in NH?  Surely you jest.  Even going over the bridge on the Spaulding is a joke compared to SoCal traffic.  Better still is the fact that I'm actually going AGAINST traffic, meaning my commute won't be nearly as bad as one might expect.

Well then, I guess it won't be all THAT bad, but it still sounds like a whole bunch of suck to me.   :whatever:

Like I said, it's only for a week.  I hope.

Outage is teh suck.  6-8 weeks, no life, no sleep, no shit.

2 reports to do, finish taking down Christmas decorations, and laundry.

The sun is sort of out and it's warming up outside, but snow showers are predicted....

I think I might want some hot cider, my blankie and a book..... :uhsure:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

It's 34 outside.  It's practically toasty.

Get a call at 0830, haven't even had my first cup of coffee yet. Turns out that the VFW was flooded. A water line burst. About 1/3 of the post had a 1/2" of water all over the floors. So, despite other plans, I spent the majority of the day down there. Turns out, the post commander turned down the heat through the post which allowed a certain are to get cold enough to allow the water line to a water heater to freeze and burst.  :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

 :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Of course not. He had to go out of town for his job..........

The cleaning crew took care of it. After all, that's what the insurance is paying for.
