Hold me!!! My dad just told me how much he is enjoying "Going Rogue" which he got from Mom for Xmas
I tried to be civil, but when I asked her why she quit, it got ugly.
How did I end up with Fox-watching parents???

7. I wish. I couldn't believe what he was telling me
"She had a fascinating life"
"Yeah, in what way?"
"She fished with her dad when she was young and cleaned it all out..."
"Dad, lots of people fish with their dads"
"Then she tell about becoming mayor then Lt. Governor (???) then Governor"
"And did she talk about why she quit?"
Yes, I had to go there.

8. Fortunately, live on the opposite coast from them
we generally know better than to talk politics, but he started it!
DUmmies always sound like junior high school kids, complaining to one another about how stupid their parents are.
DUmmy Roon is the queerboy who bragged about being propositioned in a queer leather bar:

3. My mother and my step-father..my father and my step-mother
are all freepers. They are nice people and all but it drives me nuts visting them and having to watch foxnews and such.
The only thing that keeps me sane is my grandparents are very liberal. So that makes up for it.
DUmmy Roon's parents must be so proud of the flaming faggot moonbat they raised.
All DUmmy valerief knows about Ronaldus Magnus is what she's read at the DUmp:

14. I could never understand how so many people didn't laugh at Reagan.
I mean, WTF? He was a friggin' goofball! People are trained to believe what teevee tells them. Hence, Palin (Sarah not Michael) is taken seriously
Americans are totally irrational.

6. My mom was reading it
I don't think she finished it. She made mention of it, and I just said "well, I hope you realize that it's half fiction." And I pointed out a couple of things off the top of my head that I knew that she lied about in the book.
I also saw my mom owns a Michelle Malkin book.
I just try and not talk politics with her.

5. Oh dear.
My dad's a wingnut, but he's one of those old-school small gov't Republicans and he's so embarrassed by the current crop of idiots that he quit talking politics. I always figured that was bad enough. I don't think I could handle relatives who actually like Sarah Palin.

9. I was hoping they would be that way, too. But alas, both my parents watch Fox 24/7
they are part of the 23%.
In nearly every family situation, the DUmmy is an isolated, alienated moonbat. I wonder if DUmmies have ever stopped to think about this. You know, nearly all of them have families who are normal people, i.e., "wingnuts". Everywhere they go, nearly everyone is a wingnut repuke. TVs are all tuned to Fox. Repugs everywhere they turn. Does it ever occur to them that this "23%" may be just a tad on the low side?

17. i'm sorry, but i giggled a bit when i read your post.
I also shed a tear or two for you. EVERYONE in my family is a Fox-loving, liberal-hating Repuuuuuuublican. My dad and brother might be the only two who would be considered anything other than conservative (but they're definitely not liberals). It kinda scares me for my future, because my dad was highly liberal when he was in his early 20's. I wonder what happened to him that caused him to become all...squishy and weak and balding. (He's a deist though, at least I give him points there.)
Republicans to the left of me, Republicans to the right of me.
