Black Activists Respond to Reid's Racial Remarks
« on: January 10, 2010, 06:59:14 PM »
From Project 21, a conservative black leadership network. I subscribe to their press releases and find them to be spot on most of the time.

Black Activists Respond to Reid's Racial Remarks

Washington, DC: Black conservatives with the Project 21 leadership network are speaking out about the recently-revealed racial comments about Barack Obama that were made by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) in 2008:

Mychal Massie (chairman of Project 21): "Harry Reid is a loathsome individual whose apology was based on exposure not repentance. Reid's comments are proof positive that the racial animus of the past is alive and prevalent among liberals today, notwithstanding the fact that their standard-bearer is a black man."

I want Reid to stay right where he is.

Dog forbid he be replaced by a dem that is actually effective.

Nope.

I'm not religious so I won't use God's name in casual terms.

Anyone tell me how this became a racial remark.?

So low people on the totem pole serve coffee, what does this have to do with race.?    Could the reference been made as to Obamsa's credentials for the whitehouse.?

Could this remark have meant that Obama was such a youngster to politics that he needed more time to be weathered.?

You know start at the botton serving coffee and make steps toward becoming a chief.?

Vesta--Google "Stepin Fetchit".  And while we're on the subject of stereotypes...

BTW--United States Senator is not "low on the totem pole" ANYWHERE.

AP Interview: Holder Defends Reid

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Eric Holder, the nation's first black attorney general, defended Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Monday over racial remarks the senator made about Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2010/01/11/us/politics/AP-US-Reid-Holder.html

Holder, like many 'minorities' strikes me as the kind of person that doesn't have a problem with racism as long as it suits his purposes.

You mean like Black Panther voter intimidation?

Same here. I want the Dems to be exposed as the racist that they are.

For many, it's clear that "racism" is a weapon to be used against those with whom you disagree...not an actual issue.

Kinda like taxes.  And subpoenas.  And illegal background checks.  And when those don't work, liberals resort to good old slander and libel.

When they can't win they pull out the old tricks instead of trying something new
