The thing that really blows chunks is this is a "green energy" company, and they've managed to run it into the ground.

Not only will the big wigs keep their jobs, but the president's son works there. I'm sure he won't be let go (and he's a worthless piece of shit).

The president decided about a year ago that his daughter, who doesn't officially work there, should take over the newsletter (which I do). He said "nothing personal."

I've seen the writing on the wall for a while now. My boss gave me a head's up a few weeks ago that it would be wise to really start looking. That same day, we got an email saying they were going to stop matching our 401K.

My boss told me he's working to get the hell out of there, and when he lands, he'll call me for a job (I'm not overly optimistic, but I will hold him to that recommendation letter he promised.).

The sad part is despite the upper management ****ing up, my boss has been really great (and I've had some doozies). He's been cool when I've wanted to take off, need to leave early for dr's appointments, etc. and he fought to get me a bigger raise last year than I received (management wouldn't give me as big a one as he wanted me to have). Frankly, I wasn't expecting anything in this economy.

Just not a good fit...  :rotf:

19. I was let go from a job (given no notice anything was wrong; told at the time "just not a good fit.") in Jan. 2007 (what is it about January?), and it took me six months to get this job. I'm concerned about how long it will take to get back on my feet. Fortunately, hubby has a job and I'm on his insurance (before, he was on mine, so we had Cobra to pay..that sucked!); plus, I just paid my car off in October. Still, it's so scary!

That "just not a good fit" line is probably a common refrain in DUmmy careers, but at least during those nightmarish Bush years she was able to find another job. Let's see how it goes in the 0conomy. Since the constitution is no longer being shredded, and our civil righs have been restored, and people in all the mongrel nations around the world respect and love us for electing a Kenyan muslim to the White House, Dummy SCRUBDASHRUB will probably be able to turn down jobs until just the right opportunity comes along.

Aren't these "green energy" concerns being touted as The Way of Teh Futureâ„¢ and a good thing for people to invest in. Surely people wouldn't demand the government invest billions of dollars in a project that's only gonna lose money and collapse if they are a bad investment would they ? .  :p

When dealing with moonbat issues, you can substitute the word "bogus" for the word "green" in nearly every instance. In dem-speak, "bogus" is also a synonym for "renewable".

Both Portugal and Spain went toa green economy before the recession. Both countries lost tens of thousands of jobs.

Primitive hellholes like Spain and Portugal have always been "green". A "green" economy is what normal people have always called "an agrarian society". We had a "green" economy in the United States until the railroads started expanding around the 1840s.

Dear DUmmies,

And all this time I've heard nothing but, "But YOUR job isn't going to be around in a few years--nukes are unsafe and will be shut down!"  Yawn.  As long as I come in, work hard, and don't blaze maintenance or otherwise commit an unpardonable sin, I'm pretty safe, thanks for your concern.

Oh, and FWIW, when someone mentions "green jobs", I bust out a bottle of this:
