Well yes, I have some obvious knowledge because I read the posts about her suicide and I'm wondering if it's really true. I knew Annette from her earliest incarnations online. I remember when her book first came out. I decided to ask here if anyone knew for certain because even though I'm not a politcal conservative frankly these boards seemed a bit more rational than over at Dem Underground.

It's my theory, based upon simply reading the late Tangerine LaBamba and accepting all that she said at face value, that she finally just got tired and worn out from years of fighting cancer, and may have possibly purposely overdosed on some of those medications, to end it.

That is, of course, when one accepts her own words at face value, which is a risky thing to do, especially when concerning primitives from Skins's island, but the late Tangerine LaBamba always stuck me as credible.

If she exists, or existed, read her posts and her blog, not her posts here when she was campaigning for Top DUmmy. She was a profane, vulgar DUmmy, as vicious as any of them. She was one of the standard DU "Chimpy Mc****face" crowd. She just used better grammar and had a better vocabulary than the other less intelligent lunatics. Considering her DUmmy status, and the suspicious lack of any evidence of her existence or suicide outside the DUmp, I believe the odds are overwhelming that the whole thing is a hoax.

To say her last blog post was disturbing would be an understatement. It's not only a cry for help but a scream. Maybe no one heard—or if they did, they didn't care. I haven't had contact with her in many years. If this is indeed how she ended, it is very sad.

I would be sad for anyone.
I think it is funny that they assume her real name was that of the author, and not just another pen-name. Of course, it would be easy to contact the publisher and find her executor...

I, for example, write a mixture of historical and fiction, mixing the two when the mood strikes. At times I have dabbled into sci-fi, but only under the effects of cognac.

And I was just inquiring as to what you wrote, you having brought up the subject. I don't remember asking you the ISBN of your selected works. Being defensive about the whole issue leads me to believe you don't write...at all...but used that excuse to prove your connection to Annette. Writers are for the most part, an egotistical bunch, and when asked about their work, spout off for hours about it, send you links to it, have a web-page full of flowery prose for you to drool over...

Since none of us knew Annette as you claim to have known her, I am not sure we shouldn't be asking you the question.

See, AN, all the squares just don't stack up in your 'story'. Of course, it would take me a few seconds to trace your IP, but where is the fun in that?
