11. good choice
the post is a poignant and heart wrenching reality check!
And it's another opportunity for all of you on the left to play "I'm more compassionate than thou" because you'll drone on and on and on about how awful this ****ing loser's SELF-MADE situation is and how SOMEONE (i.e. government which is shorthand for Americans with a job paying taxes) should DO something and no one should have to live like this because anyone who whines loud enough is obviously a victim of a male-dominated corporate culture who lost his manhood long ago.
So far we don't even know what the X has (except a couple of suckers endlessly fawning over her like love-sick 6th graders). It's either MS or Parkinson's. It's GOT to be one of those two (as opposed to Lyme Disease, small strokes, diabetes, hypothyroidism, or any number of other diseases with similar symptoms) even though we don't yet have a diagnoses. We DO know that as of this date she still has "state" insurance (i.e. Medicaid soon to be foisted on the rest of us if you losers get your way). Incidentally, "state" insurance S-Chip or Medicaid) doesn't expire. You can lose it if you obtained in fraudulently or if your income goes up. While benefits vary from state to state (for instance in Washington state they'll even pay for you to go to the prestigious Johns Hopkins with nothing more than a referral from your doctor), Medicaid isn't like yogurt...it doesn't have a "best if used before said date".
However, lets take the twisted, pathetic, whiny little prick at his word. If I KNEW my insurance was going to expire in X number of days, I'd be on the phone with my doctor every damn day until he or she agreed to run tests or send me to a specialist. I'd be on the phone with the Medicaid officials finding out what I needed to do to keep my coverage. I'd be on the Internet looking for resources to pay for my meds and organizations to help pay for my self-diagnosed wasting disease.
But you know what the ugliest part of this whole sordid tale is? You sick ****s are turning your daughter into an emotional train wreck just to garner extra sympathy for your "cause". THE X DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A DIAGNOSIS YET. HOW THE HELL CAN YOU CREATE SUCH CHAOS THAT YOUR POOR LITTLE GIRL THINKS HER MOTHER COULD DIE? THAT'S JUST TWISTED. And it's child abuse. Especially since both Parkinson's and MS can be managed with medication for YEARS, even DECADES.
Oh, and you want to pay for your X wife to go sky diving and your daughter's dental care? How about you be proactive instead of whining on the Internet! How about raking leaves, shoveling snow, pruning trees, yard clean-up, taking stuff to the dump or Salvation Army for others? Since you people are supposed to be so damned compassionate you could even provide all these services to seniors and the handicapped for a discount. Make some fliers and put them up in the neighborhood, or take them door to door. Just a couple odd jobs a day and in a couple of months you'd probably have enough for both. Hell, you might even be able to afford to have the X parachute into the dentist's office with the daughter.
Or, Beth could just hold another fund raiser.
