Warmed up some today...was only 28 when I took the big kids to school.

Very tired today...slept like crap last night.

Planning on making BEG's potato and ham soup for dinner today (See the food forum...it's in there).

Might take a nap after Mr Flame goes to work.

Yesterday I barely got out of a three month stint as a juror on a murder trial based on extreme financial hardship because my company will only pay for the first 10 days of jury duty.  That means that by the time I actually got to work yesterday I only had a couple of hours to get things done after a week and a half off.  Today is going to be crazy.  My desk is full of files, and my inbox is full of e-mails.  Hopefully I'll be busy enough that today will go quickly.

I'm not even going to try to compete with our temperature today  :p

Ambient temp here is struggling to make it into double digits for the high today, with snow and colder weather on the way through most of the weekend.  Sucking pretty bad right now, with assorted bits of bad news on other issues filtering in to make things stink even worse.

For those whining about the cold, just remember, one can ALWAYS dress for the cold whereas one can only remove so much clothing in order to keep cool when it's hot.

IN other words, dress for the weather!!!

It's 21 here and the sun is peeking in and out of clouds.

Snow is predicted for Thursday and Friday.

No temps above freezing until next Tuesday.

No wonder Al Gore couldn't carry Tennessee.... ::)

Hoping the repairman gets here later today if he was able to get the ordered parts from Nashville. We're hoping to take son and his girlfriend up to the mountains tomorrow. Depending on snow, we may be able to go on Thursday.

Have to take her to Nashville on Sunday for her to fly back to Nebraska. She's really a cutie-pie...and probably the easiest guest I have ever had. We will miss her. :(

But thundley, you miss the point of the BIG picture. Wimminz is more apt to snuggle up (amongst other things) when it's cold........

Got to sleep in today, and I'm working until 10pm tonight.  Should be nice and slow, different from the usually busy-as-crap we've been dealing with.  Too bad there aren't 30 hours in a day so some of us can sleep. :-)

Day off tomorrow, yay.

Not too bad here, got up to almost 30 today.  Real cold stuff isn't getting here until Friday/Saturday.  Then they're talking -5 to -10.

As far as freezing pipes goes, good thing I don't have copper or lead, but the PEX piping.  It's not freeze-proof, but it's about as close as you're going to get.

Now if I can just get through the rest of this week's training without going insane.  Next week--diesel outage on nights.  Whee.
