Any racing fans here?

Like the 2 horse-Weekend Gambler in the 7th at the Meadowlands.

Don't hold it against me if he doesn't get it done.

Ack...not even close.

Skip the 8th.

We'll try the 4 O'Rourke Three in the ninth.

17.20...not bad.

Since I'm already making a fool of myself, talking to myself, one more race...#6 wps in the 10th. How about a 6-1 exacta box also.

Of course I love the ponies. What red blooded, cigar chomping, rye whiskey drinking American doesn't? Since I'm in the process of moving however, I've not been to many meets lately.

But it's not all torn ticket stubs and stale cigarette butts. Right down the road is this place. http://www.yavapaidownsatpv.com/ Feenix is an hour or so away, and the local Squaw Hoppers have a couple of casinos in Prescott.

I'll start thumbing around in the Racing Forum in February and follow the likely horses through the end of the season and the summer. Then in October I'll start wearing a trench coat and a three day stubble while I hang out in the viewing paddock before each race, thus negating 8 months of handicapping work.

I swear. 2 minutes before a race is all anybody needs to figure out which horses are in the best condition. It's maddening. Once you figure out who the good jockeys are, figuring out the winner of each race is as easy as calculating Pi.

Oh yeah. I loves me the ponies.

Well, I'm interested. What horses are running where you are? Who are the jocks? Is it turf or dirt? Live or simulcast?

My favorite track has to be Agua Caliente in T.J. I never get tired of seeing those young kids fall off the horses.

I live in between Laurel and Pimlico. I bet just about all TB tracks in the US. On-line or by phone. Turf/dirt, yes. Live/simulcast, yes. Don't really pay a great deal of attention to jocks. Obviously know who the hot/top jocks are for the respective curcuits.
I'm sure I'll start posting some threads in the near future.
