Also it is a real nice idea to shovel for the oil or gas man and mail man when it snows.
You know, I'm wondering how that works; it's a problem I haven't ever dealt with, myself.
When having a serviceman come here (or any other place I've ever lived), I've always been really good about cleaning up the place--at least making it tidy--and if it's going to be something messy or dirty, laying out old newspapers, paper towels, rags, and a big empty trashbasket, in case he needs any of this stuff.
I'd be embarrassed as Hell to call a serviceman, and expect him to shovel his way through snow to come in to do his work.
In case anyone reading this has been, or is, a serviceman, how's this handled--when one goes to a job and is confronted with the task of shoveling snow first?
