Raining Sunday

Actually quite warm here for now, in mid-40's.  Rain will be moving on later today, but the problem is what happens when all that water, having no place to go, sits and freezes up.  Then we're going to get 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow.  Oh, JOY!

At least this will be a short week.  Granted, no early release on New Year's Eve, but it's a start.

Getting ready to head back to work tomorrow.  I really need to have one of those jobs that shuts down between X-Mas and New Year's.

It's just cracking 40 here on Lake Champlain. I love that ice base with a fresh two inch layer of snow over top. Fun stuff.

We had some pretty hard rain yesterday, but it actually looks pretty clear out the window right now. 

Today is my pre-New Years deep cleaning day.  I like to go through closets, drawers, etc. and make sure that my new presents have a good place to go and that I'm starting the New Year with everything clean and organized.

Light snow coming down, again, about 4-5 inches on the ground.  I don't have anywhere to go, so let it snow.  :-)

Sunny and 50 here today! It's beautiful.

I know I should be doing something useful, but am enjoying one more day of nothing but hanging here and going to start a new book.

Tomorrow...I will do something useful  :-)

We went to the animal shelter a little while ago.

No Jazzy.

We did fill out a form in case she is brought in. She has a microchip, but it has my daughter's old info on it. Jazz has lived with us for 4 years, and daughter has married, moved and new phone numbers...never thought about changing the 'chip.

I don't know who has Jazz's.

She was my daughter's and knowing her, she doesn't have any info on the chip....if Jazz has one for sure. I know the other three do, because my vet insisted on them even though the girls are total indoor cats. Someone left the screen porch door open on Christmas Eve and that's how she go out. She's afraid of strangers and I guess she opted for outside rather than back through a crowded room of strange people.

Runnin' Buddy made a flyer last night (she's a graphic designer) and took a pic of a tuxedo cat and altered the markings as I don't have any good "grown up" pics of her. We're going to print them afterwhile and run them around to some mailboxes on the road behind us and to some vet clinics.
