The Stepford Senators
« on: December 21, 2009, 08:47:04 PM »
First there were the Stepford Wifes, meek, submissive women who followed their husbands' every order.  Now, courtesy of the DemocratSocialist Party we now have the Stepford Senators - 60 U.S. Senators who are incapable of independent thought and who slavishly follow every order given by their masters:

Worse, even.  Even the French are beginning to belatedly realize that universal single payor healthcare is a losing proposition, and are beginning to entertain thoughts of heresy, such as going back to the fee-for-services model that the US currently uses.  Even the Germans are starting the first baby-steps towards paring back on their socialist healthcare system.

We'll be lucky if we're no better than Argentina (or Detroit) by the time this B.S. is ended.

And France gets ~80% of it's electricity from nuclear plants... we can't even do that.

No new nuclear plants, no offshore drilling, losing our free market system...I see Darfur on the horizon.
Exit Strategy...

Ok, clearly I'm missing something *important* here - don't worry, I'm used to it by now ;) - so I'll just explain that my view of the humor was strictly limited to the bizarre thought of someone, anyone, rather calmly stating that they could see Darfur from their patio.  I think Ladywinter's pretty cool (pardon the pun :-) ), and I quite agree that there's nothing wrong with rednecks!

You're on the same page as I.... Her statement just immediately brought the Fea/Palin thing to mind and I thought it was funny... We're all cool.
