I suppose it is. I am not defending slavery by any means, but the nasty europeans found sellers in the tribal chiefs. Every single question on this 5th grade test was about the mistreatment of slaves, not one single question relating the business transaction aspect of slavery.

Do they talk about slavery in other countries, or is the US the only bad guy?  Do they talk about slavery still going on in other countries?

It was specifically US slavery... absolutely no mention of the human trafficking that ACORN endorses. I did have to laugh at Sophia's essay portion where she is talking about the conditions of the slave ships....

In the ship, slaves were either tight packers or loose packers.

Another funny...

Some slaves rebelled against the slave captains with cruel weapons they made or ones they found.

I believe she meant crude, but given this was a one-sided (white = evil and black = good), the choice of the word "cruel" was well played.  :rotf:

No but some of the ships did employ the drum beats for the rowers---stroke--- stroke.

I do not think those below deck were dancing to the beat, but one has to admit it was better to be below deck then chained to the oars.

Do they even mention when other countries outlawed slavery? Specifically the ones who did so after the US? I think there is still one in Africa where there is chattel slavery today.
