How Top Chefs Stay Thin

I've always wondered...also, BONUS! Recipes!

They spend all day surrounded by delicious food, yet they don't pack on the pounds. Rachel Syme spoke to svelte kitchenmasters to find out how they eat and eat without gaining weight.

2. Skinny chefs are just not tasting their food and I don't care what they say about it.

If that chef is chunky, I know s/he has tasted what's going out of the kitchen.

That doesn't guarantee it'll be good, the chef might be a heavy smoker with a lousy palate, but it improves the odds.

3. I rarely eat or even taste what I cook.

Eating would be like a busman's holiday.

(And, yes, it has occurred to me that it's risky to serve up dishes you haven't tasted. Go figure.)

I have no idea if chefs taste their own cuisine as they are preparing it but would not be surprised if they seldom do very much.
They are professionals who are schooled in their work so odds are they know what the outcome will be.
Perhaps a small bite here and there or sip but certainly not to the extent of pigging out all day long.

It is interesting that primitives are incapable of ever grasping the world outside their own lives or perceptions
In this case the notion that since food is available it would be consumed and since the result of their conceptions is not there then something must be wrong.

DUmmies...your world is a tiny, bitter one that you have built that dwells on the darker side of our beings.
Open your minds to the reality that there are people that live with self control, posses professionalism and marketable skill.
