I think that's spelled "s.t.a.l.k.e.r."   :naughty:

I have a bunch of stuff already, but I'll be honest (sorry to be a scrooge), I don't like exchanging gifts at Christmas. My Mom always goes overboard (spends like $3K/year), my relatives are not in a financial position to really buy gifts, my sister and I can't stand each other, and I don't really like receiving gifts. I'd rather just have a nice dinner with family than buy gifts for people out of politeness or guilt (that sounds cynical, eh?).

It's not out of guilt...at least that's not why I do it...I truly enjoy gift giving...and like receiving too.. :-)

I only exchange with about 10-12 people...so it's not really a big deal...but I do give 2-4 gifts per person for family...My daughter got 8 but she's speshul. :-)

I also host Christmas dinner for family and I cook up a storm.. :yum: :yum:

The guilt comment is really about my Mom, more than anything else. I'm really not a grinch - just don't like hearing about my relatives taking out loans to buy Christmas gifts, so I try to encourage people to not spend money on me.... even though I'm the cutest of the lot.

For future reference...I like gifts...but I wouldn't mind a "I'll clean the house for a month" type gift either...  :evillaugh:

I'll take that bet.  You'll be holding her one fine Sunday morning, and the next thing you know, the earring, your ear, and probably a fist full of hair as well will be the drool-covered victims of a vicious gumming attack.

Believe me, I know of that which I speak.

They are small, children's earings with a screwback...she won't get them off :-)  She has earings on now and I've had no problem.

Beautiful trees everybody....

Mine's not quite done. Angel fell off the top and cracked her head to pieces.  :bawl: Had to get a new one....not going to let the son put this one on.... :uhsure:

Funny, it seems brighter this year than last. (??)

My real tree is a plastic job that I leave "up" all year, lol. (only plug it in for Christmas though)
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."
