TwitVoy trying to get a government job

This should be interesting.  Especially if the DUmmie actually gets a job.

So is the government actually hiring?
   
I have read posts here on DU by some who say the gov is hiring like crazy.

I just put in 4 applications for city level jobs, 1 for county level, and 1 federal job.

I have the most hope for the 4 city level jobs.... primarily because I put in for 1 that is WELL BELOW my experience level, 2 that are equal to my experience level, and 1 that is slightly above. The online application system says that one of my applications is in "phase 2 screening" and the other is "under review". The others are just "received".

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for city level government to call for an interview? I know it will of course vary by city, but for anyone who has held city level gov jobs what is the average in your experience? I am in one of the largest major cities in the US if that matters.

Well, DUmmy TwixVoy couldn't handle a clerking job at Target, and couldn't make it through the training period to be a cable guy. Sounds like a good candidate for the highest levels of federal government employment.

Which falls right in line with them screaming for more taxes on the rich.  Get a do nothing job then scream for a raise at the expense of everyone else ..... Yup, that's about right.

I once applied for a job with the Federal Govt.

All the paperwork, good interview.

Didn't hear anything from them, so about 2 months later, I took another job.

A year after I started the other job, I got a letter from the Feds offering me the job.

Hold your breath twixie, you'll be hearing from them in no time.

If DUmmy TwixVoy could have resisted the urge to shit in his nest, he might be able to get back on at Target as a holiday temp.
