Well, my personal and private opinion is that it's a silly way to treat green beans, but of course I fully understand I'm just one person with one person's say in the matter, and that the vast majority here seem to like it.

I like green beans okay, but slightly steamed with a bit of crisp left in them, salted slightly, and buttered.

Green bean casseroles suck.
