Is Tiger a Republican?
« on: December 09, 2009, 09:25:18 PM »
He hasn't said much that i have ever read, but he does play Golf a lot.   Which requires money.

Rush was mentioning that Democrats get a pass on their sex lives, Republicans don't.  John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Max Bacus, Barney Frank, Nothing to see here folks.  Mark Sanford and any other Republican Sex lives are all over the papers.

Might it also be that he is black?  Blacks don't get a pass on Sex as much.  I remember Clarence Thomas' autobiography and he was really steamed that folks assumed that blacks were assumed by whites to be little more than bags of hormones and violence.  One of the things that really made him mad.

Don't think it's that at all.  I think it's that he's been so "untouchable" that the media is in such a frenzy.  Asides from his golf game, he never stood out before.  He seemed like the perfect guy.  Everybody loved him, but now there is a chance to cast a bad light on the nice guy, and we all know that bad news sells better then good.

I could respond to this, but frankly, I can't understand your point.

I think Rush is wrong on why they're covering him (he may be conservative, so that's why), but I do believe Tiger is a conservative. A horndog conservative, but a conservative nonetheless.

He's being covered because he's one of the biggest names on the planet and THE biggest name in golf.

Tiger is no conservative. He is a huge Obama supporter.

I wouldn't say a huge supporter. His speech for the inauguration was about as bi-partisan as one could be. It was mostly praise for the military men and women.

Don't think so. I may be wrong. If he did, I think it would be common knowledge. It's not.

....and spent the entire time on the speech dedicating it to the military, with, if I'm not mistaken, no mention of Obama. Hell, there's a snopes deal out there saying he used his time to speak about the troops, and NOT the speech they wrote for him which was about Obama. Do a search on snopes+obama+tiger woods.

Thanks for the info. I don't read snopes; their quality has gone down hill, but I'll trust you on the assessment of the speech. I thought I remembered him on the campaign trail, but I may indeed be wrong. I don't know that I'd go so far as to say common knowledge - BonJovi campaigned for Obama, but it seems very few people know that.

I've been a BonJovi fan for years.....

I have to admit I don't feel the same since I found out they were campaigning for Obama....I think they also performed at one of the Inauguration Balls....

Like most prominent & very wealthy athletes, I would suspect he leans to the Republican side.  What was one of the first things he did upon turning professional in 1996?  He moved from California to Florida, where he would be paying no state income tax.

He has no need to publicize his political opinions.  He very well could have voted for 0bama, who knows?

He's a typical (insert your own word here) with too much money, a boat load of talent, and acts like most NBA players. Where's the white wimmin at?? Did not see Tiger "dating" any dark skinned women. hmmmm Yep, he's an elitist hypocrit, and by the way, LOVES Obama for what he looks like, not for what he is as President. As well know, it's exactly the same as Tiger as a husband.      L O S E R     :hammer:
