Cops: GPS, remote thefts aided home break-ins

Two men believed to be responsible for stealing GPS units and garage remote controls from vehicles to rob homes throughout southeast Michigan and in Ohio have been arrested by Pittsfield Township police.

Targeting mainly movie theater and restaurant parking lots, the thieves would use the home address in the GPS and the remote control to break into homes, Troy police Lt. Michael Lyczkowski said Monday.

"They were all over," Lyczkowski said. "Probably almost daily, they were going from Toledo to New Haven in northern Macomb County."

The scum bags would steal the GPS, hit the home button and the thing would lead them to your house.

I gotta admit never in a million years would I have thought of this.

Actually I'm going to use the PD address. I can find my way from there. Been there enough times. No not jail. We have to register handguns in this state.

Anyway. This has been a Public Service Announcement.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

PD  address is a good idea, I've used the gas station closest to my house for years, just in case.

I would have used my mother-in-law's address, but she's passed on now.

C'mon down, Massholes.  I'll even be there to greet you at the door with a smile and a 185-grain hollowpoint handshake.

Happens a lot here in MN. But they also take the garage door opener, so I wouldn't put "home" in there at all.

The worst is when you leave your garage door opener in your car, parked outside your garage.  My neighbors got robbed like that.

I don't have a GPS and my garage currently is inoperable, so, yay, I guess.
R.I.P. LC and Crockspot.  Miss you guys.
