Just great...the Fiesta Bowl is doing last year's Poinsettia Bowl

All year long the subject of debate has been whether or not this year's editions of Boise State and TCU can play with the big boys..matching them up in the Fiesta Bowl will prove nothing..

The whole thing looks sleazy and transparent. They are scared to death that a conference with an automatic BCS bid is going to have one of its teams get rolled by the likes of TCU or Boise. After watching Bama get stomped by Utah last year, that can never be allowed to happen again. The argument for a real playoff would only be strengthened.

2. Good news. USC is going to San Francisco 

specifically AT&T park in the 'Emerald Bowl' to play Boston College. Should be interesting but I predict a Trojan win.

I like the idea of TCU vs Boise St because they're both undefeated. I'd hate to see if one was matched against Florida and Georgia Tech and they ended up beating them leaving with 3 or possibly 4 undefeated teams depending on how Cincinnati does. Anyways I'll look forward to the game and besides Alabama, Boise St did play and beat a team in the BCS. Anyways I predict TCU to win.

3. Selfish reasons, Upton.

The story line will be two undefeated teams. Playing for second or third in the BCS. One helluva gamble. I believe they'll lose their ass. Iowa had 50,000-60,000 fans ready to pack the stands. This game decides nothing.

8. Without the matchup

which we have been deprived of, all you can do is speculate. You'll never know how good this TCU team was.

If TCU beat Boise, who cares?...They just would have beaten another mid major whom they defeated in last year's Poinsettia Bowl. Again, it proves nothing..

I'm sure Florida vs TCU would have been compelling game and would have had higher ratings. It's like they forgot Utah destroyed Alabama last year. Florida vs Cincinnati? Boring!

I've said before, it's impossible to take seriously a football program that thinks it's cute to play on blue turf, and only plays one legitimate opponent per season. Boise is still trying to live off hitting that one trick play against Oklahoma two years ago. They need to get rid of that silly playing surface, and join a legitimate league. Mount Union would kill them.

Their colours are blue and orange.

When they embarrassed Oklahoma here in the Siesta Bowl a couple of years ago, they wore orange and white.

Surprisingly enough, I'm in agreement with the DUmmies on this one. I don't think that the powers-that-be in the BCS wanted to risk having their 'big schools' embarrassed by the likes of TCU or Boise State, especially TCU. If we started having the big-name teams gettting rolled by the lesser, non-BCS teams, there would be even more howling for a playoff system, which cuts into their bottom line on the bowl payouts. The BCS conferences have rigged the system to protect their own money and power.
